Buy each other one, give them as Xmas presents, regift to each other on birthdays. A year's worth of presents sorted.

Sounds good in theory, but I've heard CD has two 'birthdays' like Dido, and gives his mom a list for both.

CD doesn't have a Mom. He's the miracle that sprang forth when somebody dropped a copy of Private Eye into a deep fat frier.

Real Brummies know the correct abbreviation for Mother is Mom. Mum would be the correct abbreviation for Muther.

It’s Mom across Birmingham. For proper people anyway. If you’re into falafel bowls for lunch, you might say Mum. But you’d be wrong.

It shouldn't and doesn't really matter but I've always felt 'Mum' was a bit effeminate and camp compared to 'Mom', a bit Walter Softy.

Yep, that's why the tastiest firms across the water are called Soccer Moms. Terrifying.

I pronounce it "mom" but she prefers the spelling "mum" so that's what I use.

I thought the only Brom was way out West.
