The man city of the lower leagues.

Bit different.

Not really. Sponsorship deals they would never dream of, media coverage, paying non-league players championship wages. Ask a lower league fan about what they think of them.

Agreed.

I see those parallels, but a couple of wealthy Hollywood types is a bit different to a totalitarian regime.

Aside from the Slippy Dip, a beautiful example of progress.

This is what a lot of people are glossing over. It's not an overnight transformation, it's been steady progress to a plan.

The next bit is the hardest bit, staying regularly in that top four and getting to number 1.

Id love to do a wes and nassef celebration day in one game next season. Just for the fans to thank them for everything they have done for us.

What have they actually done for us, though?

No money behind the bar in the local!
No prancing about round the pitch shouting bollocks!
No begging people to turn up while announcing they can't be arsed!

They couldn't even be bothered to sack Emery before he got us into the Champions League so they could appoint a man with no experience or history of success!

Everyone knows this is what good owners do.  ::)

I'd like our current keepers to have an Aston Villa day when they thank us for being the best thing they'll ever have.

To be honest, I'm not sure they even know where our house is.   They've certainly never gone on the pitch to confirm that they know, which to me is as good as ignorance on their part.

Shit absentee landlords, we know what they are.

Where were UB40 on Monday night eh? Eh!?!

The silence from them over this tells its own story.

Its an ambitious five year plan that actually came to fruition.

These owners are great... 😍

We thank them every game when we fall over each other to throw our money at them.

6 years ago today. What a difference they have made to every single element of our club.

There have been very few errors in judgement, and when they have happened, things have been remedied.

The football, the staff, the kit, the brand, and the feeling are all immeasurably better than when they arrived.

No doubt about it the most professional sports owners in our history.  They really know what they’re doing.  They’ve made key managerial decisions at exactly the right time as well.  Everytime I see Mr Edens in interviews about his other projects he always mentions us and he comes across as a first class but understated operator.

Yeh they’re not bad though Doug comes a not very close second simply on the basis they every owner we have had since the 60s has been utterly incompetent - a low bar as they say

I started supporting this club in 1990. Since then we’ve been a club desperate for a vision and identity. There have been false dawns aplenty, we’ve flattered to deceive on so many occasions and from the boardroom to the pitch we’ve never had all the elements moving in the same direction at the same time. From Doug’s self aggrandisement, to Xia’s bullshit we’ve seen it all and for the first time in my life we stand at the threshold ready to be the big club we know we can be. It may all come to nothing, we don’t exist in a vacuum as other clubs are fighting as hard as us, but I haven’t been as positive about our club in a long time. Thank you to NSWE.
