Pure Fantasy this one.....If SB goes, guess who appears after Doc T sells up?

Value consortium support, Fan / Supporter ownership / involvement, more realistic aspirations - why go up to be guaranteed to lose 12 games? Free of the shackles of Tarquinism, Mr A Wenger rocks up and organises all of the sports science in the club to get fit lads playing fast flowing festival football. The Multi £k pw players are gone, and for a couple of seasons we play exciting footy, becoming a bit of a 'bandit' club, capable of taking any prem scalp in the cups. As we develop to be faster and more fluid, we add in a couple (only a couple) of wise heads say a GK, and one in the back 4, and our academey has produced a 9, 10 and 2 quality wingers.

Then we are ready to go up and take on the world. Wenger as a purist is happy, and the money game has been largely avoided. We have a succession plan to take it forward from there.

UTV ..  haven't been drinking or dreaming!!

I met Peter Withe yesterday, cuddled the European Cup and remembered when Villa ruled Europe. I was only seven when it happened, but I remember it all so well. And nobody will ever take those memories from me.

My shiny new desktop background is making me very positive right now.

Something positive;

Even if losing Hutton, Terry and Grealish, we still have a squad good enough to get out of the championship.

The youngsters coming through, many are very decent players.

Davis, only 20 yrs old had a great season and looks strong.
Bree, only 20 yrs old is a player to watch next season, hopefully will come in for Hutton.
Suliman, only 20 yrs old, surely a player worthy of a place on the bench next season?
Sarkic, only 20yrs old, got to be our no'2 next season pushing for a no'1 spot?
Green, only 19 yrs old, good enough for a run in the 1st team?

Hepburn-Murphy too. Would really like to see what he can do given an injury free run and a chance.

And the forgotten man - who had a good loan at Crewe - who I rate quite highly - and who has a (small) touch of the Grealish about him

Harry McKirdy only 21 years old

Yes he needs to step up next year so we can sell
him the year after 🤔

So, we've won the opening three competitive fixtures in a season for the first time in my lifetime (and a bit longer than that too).

Given I've been on this planet for 47 bloody years that's a crap record to break!

Anyway, despite not looking great, despite it being in Division 2 and a cup match against a Division 4 side, we've won them all so far. Maybe, just maybe we're on the way back.

And I love the fact that it very much "under the radar" so far whilst the press spunk over the likes of Leeds
