We're parking at Lonsdale Avenue car park. Got some young ones with us (7). Does anyone have any recommendations where we could go to get some lunch and a couple of ales not too far or even a quick tube/train away?

cheers!

Hi there! After browsing on this site for years and years, I have decided to take the plunge and register. Am going down by coach to Wembley tomorrow: is anyone got any suggestions where I can get some cheap vegetarian food from nearby, please? I don't fancy over-priced pizza from inside the stadium. Thanks everyone!

Accept your apology, olaftab, as long as you don't think I'm a Bluenose!   ;)

God knows what state we're all going to be in tomorrow...

I'm getting the Virgin Train from New St to Euston. The guy at the ticket office said it would go the long round via Stafford ! (because of the work at Coventry) I think I am getting more nervous about getting to Wembley than the game itself.

Main story on Central News tonight about Travel Chaos for football fans over the bank holiday weekend.

They seemed to think that because of the cancellations on other services the chiltern service will be extra busy with a queuing system at Moor Street on Saturday.

I'm getting on at Solihull so I hope there will be room on the trains stopping there!

For the semi final against Liverpool I went from Moor Street and it was chaos.  Massive queue in town for the train down there and then an absolutely horrendous journey home, crammed in and standing all the way (train had to stop for an hour as the doors on the train in front wouldn't close at the station it was at).  Drove to High Wycombe for the final an got the train in from there.  Bit of a drive down there, but the train journey in and out was fine.  Planning to do that again, but have noticed that the trains from Moor Street are changing there on Saturday.  Is that right and if so, I can imagine it being pretty chaotic as it isn't the biggest of stations.

High Wycombe also does stopper service that starts from there and stops at Wembley so will be less crowded than the ones that come from Brum.

Does anyone know from previous experience if the trains leave moor st full ie: is there much chance of getting on at Warwick Parkway (I don’t mind standing) if aiming for one going through Parkway about 9.30 ? Otherwise option is drive to somewhere like Harrow I guess ?

If you haven't got your train tickets I'd say go to Leamington instead, get the cross country one down to Oxford or Reading (about 50 minutes) then get one in to London Paddington. Probably similar price and you will actually get a seat.
