Can anyone suggest any Train stations outside of London we can drive to from Brum, ditch the car for 24-36 hours and train it in ?

High Wycombe. Multi storey car park, right by station. Can’t remember the price, but remember it was a good price.

There is a shopping precinct by the stadium. Whilst all the pubs were rammed, go one floor up in this precinct and there is a Brazilian restaurant that had a nice bar at the back and wasn't absolutely heaving. Plus I have a soft spot for it, as we went on to beat Liverpool in the FA Cup semifinal

That's where I always head for for both Villa games and NFL. It's quite surreal up there, a quiet oasis amongst the chaos

Anywhere on the Metropolitan line out to Uxbridge with a car park is generally safe and quick access to Wembley. If you prefer a more relaxed atmosphere for a meal and drinks before the match then definitely head to Uxbridge, plenty of places to eat and drink and family friendly!

Did anyone happen to drive down to Wembley last year?

I'm driving and parking on the Red car park next to the stadium, was it simple enough to get there, and not a complete nightmare trying to exit the area heading home?

It's the queue to get back on the tube that can be nightmare.

What is the best non-Wembley tube station to walk to after the game? Ideally, easy walking distance, a pub nearby and no queues... if this is even vaguely possible.

As I recall last year we just winged it and ended up walking for about three quarters of an hour in ninety degree heat.

Stonebridge Park is the last tube stop before Wembley central on the Bakerloo line. Alperton on the Piccadilly line is a good walk with no pubs before you get by Wembley Central

Ta. Might just walk to Stonebridge Park and try to jump on a tube to anywhere away from the ground then. The good thing about being in London is you can get across it pretty quickly by tube... once you get going.

We drove last year no problems but were in a different car park -open air and I suppose it helped playing a London side as I think a lot of them came by public transport.

I normally drive down to Gerrards Cross just off the M40 and take a 25 min train ride to Wembley

I've used the Red Car park a few times

Are you coming in along the A40 ?

If so, get off at Greenford and head to Wembley via the A4127,

Route

Use the same route to get out (if possible)

Also, I recommend high-tailing it to the car the moment the game ends rather than hanging around for celebrations

That part of the Piccadilly has planned closures
