Weather doesn't look like it'll be as good as last year. Google 10-day has it raining Friday, Saturday, Sunday. The beeb 14-day has it dry but cloudy for the Monday.

Dry but cloudy would be ideal as far as I'm concerned. I've never understood the appeal of hot and sunny

I was relieved that it was sunny last year. It meant that my view was somewhat limited of the 11 men in claret shirts looking like they weren't entirely sure which goal they should be attacking.

Has been a cracking pub for the last few Wembley visits, no problem getting served and only 21 mins on the tube to Wembley Park.

Thanks but it is too central to London

Any ideas on North of Wembley so a quick getaway can be done if the unthinkable happens

We intend to start the drinking in The Metropolitan on Marlyebone road by Baker St

Was thinking of parking around Kenton way?

Think this is our best plan.

M40 to Uxbridge

Park At Rayners lane tube station

Official all day car park @ £2.50

Tube is Metropolitan line that goes directly into the city if needed and goes through Wembley park

Tube cost from Rayners to Wembley park is £3.10

That will do  :)

The only word of warning I’d give you is get there early as Edgware Road tube parking was packed last year so I ended up booking online via a park on the drive website.

Kilburn isn't too close to close to central London. You can't get much closer than Baker Street.

Are Chiltern Railways putting on direct trains from Moor st to Wembley? I bought tickets last week but the app still suggests you need to change at High Wycombe? Surely not.

But we are drinking in baker st ( as meeting others there) but not driving there hence parking outside Wembley.

Coach travel

The Big Green Coach are pretty cheap - £25.00.  Pick ups from Birmingham (City Centre), Birmingham (Kings Heath), Bromsgrove, Halesowen, Lichfield, Nuneaton, Stourbridge, Sutton Coldfield and Tamworth.

Just looked on Google earth and there are a few bars and plenty of shops and fast food joints right at Rayners Lane

Looks a great location if driving in and want to get tube in

Ickenham and Hillingdon have bigger car parks and are closer to the M40.  Even Uxbridge is worth considering as you can park in the centre and there is a direct tube to Wembley.
