What's that in English?

Luke has announced that Luke is designing the kit and a company called Fanatics will produce and merchandise it?

Is that what "tripartite technical kit partnership" means?

I believe so.  In ludicrously hyperbolic corporate speak.

Luke logo will be on shirt, press release says so. Fanatics are the ones manufacturing it.

Who have they made kits for before? They've partnered with loads of clubs to manage the retail side but I don't think I've ever seen anything they've manufactured.

Have a read of this article...

Interesting, thanks.

I can't imagine the quality won't be good though because Luke 1977 wouldn't want to put their name to something shoddy, especially given the owner/designer is a villa fan.

Will reserve all judgement until I see a finished kit (or preferably all of them).

I've no great allegiance to any particular sports manufacturer but at least you know what you're getting with the tried and tested lot (generally something that's not quite Claret, with varying quality of material). That's no reason not to experiment, but I'd worry we'll end up with some sort of ultra chic abomination and be a bit of a laughing stock in whatever league we end up in.

EDIT: That said, so long as the football's good, who gives a toss? Kits come and go almost as fast as managers these days!

I know him. His  name is Luke Roper and he is from Walsall Wood.
He certainly wouldn't turn out any old crap and he is villa through and through.

Clearly a spoof.

We've signed Messi on a pre-contract for next season and Champion's League football is guaranteed for the year after. I think that is what it says, anyway.
