The most talented sportsperson this country has ever produced and its not even up for debate.  Yes, he's a bit of a tit at times but aren't they all.

Not sure about the most talented but he's up there, especially when you consider his longevity. Certainly more deserving of a SPOTY than Emma Raducanu.

Sports Personality of the Year isn't about longevity. The clue is in the name.

Stephen Hendry and Mark Williams have more reason to be disappointed at not having won the award as they both won all three Triple Crowns in a year, which O'Sullivan has never done. Plus they were winning before the Lottery money kicked in so British sporting success was more sporadic meaning less competition.

I think BV just meant that by virtue of having a longer career than other sportspeople, snooker players would be 'in the hat' more times.

Maybe. He should definitely be getting Lifetime Achievement Award if that is a thing and he hasn't already.

C.B. Fry was a far more talented sportsman.

Ronnie is an excellent snooker player, almost certainly the best ever. He's a massive twat though.

I've met a few snooker players and they mostly are, in my opinion.

Apart from Mark Williams, who was lovely.

Yeah, incredible player to watch but I really can't take to him.

Longevity was mentioned in reference to TMWaS's point (although, as Rory pointed out, it does also mean he's been around for more time to have won a SPOTY). Surprised you didn't understand that.
