Shaun Murphy and Mark Selby knocked out of the Masters by a great couple of lads today.

Higgins comes back from 5-3 down to beat Trump 6-5. Great stuff.

Looking forward to Higgins v Wilson. I like both of them, but hope Higgins wins it today.

Don't really care who wins but hope it goes 10-9.

Wilson for me
He is the Villa of snooker
Never on the TV table at events and the snooker darlings love Ronnie Trump and the Far East players.

Watching Higgins vs Zhao in the final of the player's championship. Zhao really is a class act and I hope he wins.

McManus is commentating and his nauseating love of Higgins is really irritating.

The camera angle makes it a hard watch.

The most talented sportsperson this country has ever produced and its not even up for debate.  Yes, he's a bit of a tit at times but aren't they all.

Shame it happened in China in front of a less than enthusiastic crowd but you can't have everything.  A couple of them even put their phones down and applauded, incredible really.

Not sure about the most talented but he's up there, especially when you consider his longevity. Certainly more deserving of a SPOTY than Emma Raducanu.

He has a personality, which I think precludes him from SPOTY.

That's harsh, David Beckham won it in 2001.

Sports Personality of the Year isn't about longevity. The clue is in the name.

Stephen Hendry and Mark Williams have more reason to be disappointed at not having won the award as they both won all three Triple Crowns in a year, which O'Sullivan has never done. Plus they were winning before the Lottery money kicked in so British sporting success was more sporadic meaning less competition.
