When he was dominating I found him tedious, especially as someone that loved Jimmy. It's only looking back, and from watching his channel, that I can appreciate he was just as attacking a player if not even more so than Jimmy.

Yikes.

I never liked him, but that was because he was a dull player and Rangers fan. But this is a surprise.

I always hated Peter Ebdon and he turned out to be a fucking crank. Didn't have a read on Dott, though.

Yeah, naturally I hated Ebbo.

I always thought of Ebdon as some sort of turbo-psycho-nutter-bastard, with his screams when he won a frame belying his quiet, polite manner in general conversation.

It's Crucible time as well as the Beeb, TNT are also showing it. Reading this morning Ronnie, who has been having problems, may pull out of it, if as he says 'he has a meltdown' before his first match.

I think it’ll be wide open this year- Judd and Kyren are expected to do well (Crucible Curse notwithstanding in the case of the latter), but there are so many players capable of beating anyone it’s too tricky to call.

Looking back a few posts re:Hendry, Matty Cash appeared on his YouTube channel a while back:

I get a bit tired of listening to him.

It's a curse for a reason.

Not that it's actually a curse, it's just a very difficult tournament to win. How many have defended it since it moved to the Crucible? Three?

I can only think of Davis, Hendry and Ronnie.

Edit: just looked it up and saw Selby did, as well.

Yep, fair play to Lei, he was outstanding last night and held his nerve when Kyren pulled it back to 9-9 from 9-6 down.

Peifan becomes the first debutant to beat the defending champion in the first round, for 25 years, watch out the Cinese are coming.
