Play-offs not guaranteed. Not while Bruce continues in charge.

As good as.

We aren't going to finish 7th from here.

You're probably right. However Millwall are winning and will be 7 points back if they can see it out today. If our form continues and they keep picking up points it's going to be massively nervous day last game of the season at their place.

Johnson -nothing spectacular and kicking was average
Taylor  - LW and slow should of got closer for the first goal and seemed to get worse after it. Not strong enough as a defender and doesn't do anything attacking wise either
Elmohamady - Get ball punt up line  repeat x100 ..lack of pace exposed 2nd half
Terry - Looking his age , distribution is still decent but looks leggy
Chester - Looks worn out needs a break , caught out of position a few times
Hourihane - if he doesn't score he doesn't make an impact no idea why he was kept on when again we were losing Mf battle
Thor - did ok gets around pitch and passing was mostly good , one nice ball to Elmohamady in FH.Shooting was poor and struggled to create anything
Grealish - Scored and ran himself into ground but has no options to pass to .He was in the centre , wid left then wide right but no options for him. Needs to be played further forward
Snoddgrass - Very poor Norwich out muscled him and had too much pace on the flanks for him to do anything
Adomah - Also poor games like this him playing on weaker side shows him up , when Snoddy isn't performing he should be moved back to RM
Hogan - Makes good runs but is so isolated he is just not going to effect the game.He don't attack as a team its left to individuals and thats why he is struggling

Kodjia - Looks much fitter and got an assist. Dropped far to deep to get the ball at times due to lack of midfield but its a positive he looks closer to full fitness
Grabben- looked like a striker playing out of position ,waste of time him playing wide

Bruce same old shit , panics when losing throws on more attackers and empties midfield. Those strikers then play out of position or have to drop deep to get the ball. The guy has been found out as as his basic tactics at the worst time.If this was earlier in season he would be facing the sack but as so close to the end I expect he will plod on ..if he gets us out of the league it will because Kodjia etc have pulled something out of the bag in the game.

I know you can't point the finger at one player today, but we never seem to play well when Taylor plays, Albert seems to play worse too when he plays. I'd be interested to see the point stats for when he starts.

Complete & utter bottle job!

Bruce has to get out of the mindset that anything be under 22 can’t handle playing - there is no way Bree or Clark would do a worse job than Taylor - he doesn’t attack and his pathetic attempts to get near Murphy for the first goal were a joke.

Also, Adomah - ok he has scored a good few goals earlier in the season but he seems to be the first to go missing, he jumps out of tackles - he should be on the bench at bench & should have been for the last 3/4 games.

Hogan, will never be a player under Bruce & his ‘tactics’

So it’s the play offs, hopefully win, lose or draw in those that is it for Bruce, nice guy but with the resources he had at his disposal second was the bare minimum, he has failed.

Goodness only knows what mood the brilliant traveling support will be in when they get home today. They all deserve a medal after getting up at dawn's crack to witness that steaming turd of a 'performance' (not to mention a refund).

How does Grealish escape criticisim. Goal aside, he was fucking garbage

He worked his bollocks off (in my opinion)

Absolutely. And what's this "goal aside" shite? Why would you choose to ignore an attacking player doing the most important thing an attacking player can do?

Grealish and Bjarnason were the only two outfield players to escape criticism today, as far as I'm concerned.

Both were piss poor today.

Long journey there. First train 06.35. Now on a long journey back to Brum. Had to interject when overhead “oh we’ll be alright” when talking about playoffs. Not with those tactics and starters. ‘A frank’ discussion persisted. Some people are deluded and these people watch us week in week out. FFS

Since Bruce has been the Manager there has been some misguided faith that despite all the evidence to the contrary, it will be all right.

I agree with all of this.

I fell asleep at 0-0 and woke as Grealish scored, took a while to realise it wasn’t the goal to put Villa one up.

There have also been people calling for his head prematurely. Sometimes the people in the former camp are right.

Grabban, ex-Norwich and scored a hatrick for Sunderland against Norwich back in August............Bruce starts him on the bench. Hogan on his own up top just isn't working, especially when Snodgrass and Adomah are off their game.

Bruce regretted not freshening things up after the Wolves game and fell into the same trap again today.

Have to say though Taylor is not a very good player.
