I'm annoyed not just because of the loss, but because the game against Cardiff would have been one of the biggest games we've played in years. I was really looking forward to going into that needing a win.

Now, I don't care. Because it doesn't matter.

only it does - we still need points and we've simply got to stop the rot.

Cardiff will enjoy. Great away trip for them.

I'd like to see Kodjia start. Bin Hogan once and for all.

It wouldn't surprise me if we beat Cardiff.

I kind of feel sorry for Hogan - if we don't go up he'll be a big scapegoat for the goals that could have gotten us there, when really it's management shortcomings. Having said that, I still don't want him in a Villa team, as I'm not quite sure what we get out of playing him.

He's got '20 goals next season on loan at automatically re-promoted Huddersfield' written all over him.

Hogan is the sort of player we've seen down the Villa a hundred times before. Seemingly bought for no other reason than he was doing pretty well for a club we consider to be our interiors and therefore assumed would automatically thrive in the illustrious surroundings of Villa Park. Unfortunately it doesn't work like that and, more often than not, said player proves to have been over-achieving at his previous club and what's more becomes a scapegoat.

I'm generally of the opinion that strikers need to be big strong bastards, or pacey little bastards. Hogan is neither here nor there.

True mate but 4th, 5th or 6th, you're still going to have to go through play offs.

The one consolation for me is at least we put that run together from January until the Blues game and have all but secured a play off spot. At least we haven't completely blown it.

Can’t say I’m surprised but bitterly disappointed. Up with this we should not put.

Play-offs not guaranteed. Not while Bruce continues in charge.

This type of performance has become too frequent recently, Q.P.R, Bolton, Hull and today. Just hope Fulham catch Cardiff as I don't want to face them in the P.O.

As good as.

We aren't going to finish 7th from here.

I'm not sure we've ever had a player who contributes so little.  He makes Darren Bent look like Dean Saunders.

I'd genuinely be more concerned if we had to play Norwich or QPR again. It's results against average shite which have defined us.
