The best I have seen us play for a long time and Grabban's goal was a masterclass in near post brilliance. Taylor was the weak link in the first half but improved as the game went on. Neves was a total damp squib.

I thought neves was actually pretty good. Excellent passing

It’s just that grealish, Snodgrass and Adomah were better

According to their 'Molyneux Mix' website they will sign Grealish when they go up and we don't.

I also liked the line "We were robbed but we were well beaten".

well I had built up this impression of Neves as a messianic Champions League quality type player given everything people had said about him and for me, he fell a long way short of that.

Giving it large on the train. Villa villa give us a song
Replied have you won the European cup European
Cup European cup. Shut the fuckers up. utv

They have won it, back in the days when there wasn't a trophy handed out and the only requirement was beating Honved in a bloody friendly.

What a superb evening. We started off great then they equalised and looked the better team for a while. Then we came back into it and the best player of the half for me was Jack Grealish by a country mile. Second half, I think Bruce has sorted out that right wing back causing problems and we were brilliant. Jack is a proper footballer now. I would have preferred BB and Hogan, but Bruce has been spot on. I first started watching my beloved club in the old third division and love them just as much now
It was superb mate and ranks amongst my best Villa Park experiences in over 40 years of watching the colours we love.

Sorry but which one was Neves? Was he the bearded fella in the middle impersonating Ash Westwood with accuracy of Carlos Cuellar?

Aftab, do keep up.   Neves was the one with seven on his back.   Being a Dingle his shirt was inside out.

Wonderful result to wake up to.

Had some great mates (even if one is a Liverpool fan) visiting Tokyo for the first time. Far too much sake, and far too much amusement from watching the Liverpool fan almost cry during the Man Utd match.

The sake took its toll however, and I fell asleep when our game was at 1-1. Waking up to a 4-1 win against Wolves has immediately made my day. Had countless messages from my dad absolutely raving about Grealish. How good was he second half? Is my dearest dad exaggerating?

I'm going to watch a full re-run of the game now!
Can’t believe you missed it due to sake...tut tut
No no exaggeration at all as you will see in the re run.

The last time I decided to go to a match on my own at the last minute was the 6-1 vs Sunderland. Couldn't get a seat in the Holte so was in the Trinity but the whole ground was bouncing. Hope we didn't pick up any injuries - some of their challenges were awful.

Grealish, Adomah, Grabban. 4-1 on your big day out.

Obviously he made a big impression on me Brian. I think that 7 must have been gilded with Lead.
