Main things is that everyone at the game survived the thousands of Wolves fans in the home ends.

Oh dear, they weren't playing that game, were they? I thought only Smsll Heath fans were like that 😂

That performance surpasses anything we saw in the 1974-75 season.

Even second half v Albion & Manchester United?

I was only a kid about to start infant school but if we managed to put in a forty five minute performance against a combined Albion and United side it must have been special.

When grabban signed I said I hoped he'd get 20 goals for us this season. Fair play to the fucker he''s having a go.

Wasn't the last game at Norwich meant to be something special that season?

They spent the week being even worse over it believe it or not.

I have no voice, ringing in my ears, aching cheeks from smiling and stubble rash where some bloke behind me in the Holte planted a smacker on me when that fourth went in. Absolutely joyous.

Tell them their team is very good and a very brave performance and they did well to score an equaliser and they will definitely go up through the play offs and yes they are very plucky performers and the best team we have thrashed so far this season and we much prefer them to Tesco bags. I think your Dingle colleagues would love to hear all that.

Agreed, particularly the Albion game when we were 1-0 down. There must have been 45,000 there that day too.

To be honest once they equalised I thought Wolves were the better team in the first half. Once we were ahead though I thought we were magnificent. But generally a great team performance and some outstanding individuals, notably Jack.

Weirdly I can only recall one real save from either keeper, a save low down by Johnstone in 2nd half.

And the atmosphere was wonderful. A rocking Villa Park is a place to behold.

On their forum they are saying that we were lucky and that the ref was on our side whilst on the other hand giving their keeper and one of their defenders a 1 out of 10 and 2 out of 10 mark respectively. Also we are jumped up and above ourselves and our manager is a fat c*nt. They also suggest that due to our luck and undeserved win their manager shouldn't have shook hands with our fat manager. Also we need to wind our necks in as we have only won the league once since 1910.

They don't mention the fact that we won the European cup whilst they were getting relegated and going bankrupt and the fact that they treat winning a few floodlit friendlies against foreign opposition in the fifties as if they were champions of Europe. But we can't mention that because we are a bunch of arrogant c*nts who need to wind our necks in.

Apart from that they have taken defeat quite well.

Apart from all that, we were shit.

Just saw the interviews after the game.  The stadium is rammed a good 3 mins after the final whistle.  Love it!

I think it’s getting very close to 74/75 level. We finished with 8 straights and yes last two games against our promotion rivals Sunderland and Norwich at 2-0 and 4-0 were special.

As for Wolves? That second half was as bad a performance as I've seen this season. They talk penalties (the Adomah one wasn't - it happened two yards in front of me and they collided), but they should have had two off for challenges on Snod alone.

A bloke in front of me was adamant that's the game the wheels starting coming off their axles. Their run-in is a piece of piss so we're still fighting Cardiff I reckon, but that gap is down to three points which brings its own pressures.
