This match is taking place on my 40th birthday so not only do I face the prospect on the death of all my faith the possibility of a beautiful future and having to face my mortality square in the face, it's also my 40th birthday etc etc. Try the salmon.

My 40th birthday was the day we led 2-0 at Leicester before losing 3-2, two seasons ago!
We twatted Newcastle 4-2 a couple of days before my 40th. I was on holiday. Can’t have everything I suppose.

We last beat Man Utd at Villa Park on my 13th birthday. Seems an unbelievably long time ago.

Happy birthday SE. We'll do them tomorrow, don't you worry!

I was there to see us beat Man City at Villa Park on my thirteenth birthday. Three nil in the League cup, November 1983. But more relevant to tomorrow, I was there when we beat the noses 6-0 in the Simod Cup on my eighteenth birthday. I never thought I would see that scoreline matched or beaten, but let's see what tomorrow brings. ;)

Bad day for Small Heath aswell with everyone down the bottom picking up points, including Sunderland after being 3-0 down at Bristol City!

The one day in the year when I thank my lucky stars I am not a  Brummie and living  in close proximity to the area - I would be all  over the shop with this mongral of a fixture.  I try not to hate them but having lived and breathed them for 45 years  plus its hard.  Sure everyone can feel my vibes.  UTV

Villa went top of the Premier League on my wedding day with Dwight Yorke scoring the only goal at home to Wimbledon. Not very relevant, but our silver wedding anniversary is in 2 weeks. And we got married near Wimbledon.

I'll take that!

We beat the Blues 1-0 with a Milner penalty the day  after I got married in 2010.

It can’t be as bad a game as the one at their dump, that was an absolute stinker. That said I’d take another howler provided we sneaked a 1-0.

Albion won the FA Cup the day after I was born.

Which means they've won it in my lifetime but we haven't.

Which is fucking annoying.

I would never start drinking at 7.30am. Near to finishing maybe.

My boss is taking his daughter up from Surrey to have a look around Birmingham Uni tomorrow. He asked me what Brum would be like on a Sunday. He went visibly pale when I told him it wasn't your average Sunday.
