This match is taking place on my 40th birthday so not only do I face the prospect on the death of all my faith the possibility of a beautiful future and having to face my mortality square in the face, it's also my 40th birthday etc etc. Try the salmon.

My 40th birthday was the day we led 2-0 at Leicester before losing 3-2, two seasons ago!
My 40th was the LC QF defeat to them under Houllier.

Bring her to the Bartons before the game. I will fill her in on the history whilst angrily bouncing off the walls. Set her up for the game perfectly!

she always hated football until my youngest lad started playing, now she's an expert obviously

she's from  Nottingham and says she supports Forest, even knows a couple of their players
Nigel Clough and Neil Webb !!

We twatted Newcastle 4-2 a couple of days before my 40th. I was on holiday. Can’t have everything I suppose.

I am very calm and confident about the game. I don't think they have many experienced big game players do they? Jenkinson, Robinson, Gardner, and both keepers are about it. Che Adams is their main goal threat but his professinal goalscoring record is just under a goal every five games.

I've just seen a picture of their coach Paul Williams. Wasn't he once the Premier leagues fastest player when he was at Coventry in the early PL/SKY era? These days it looks like the only races he wins is to the carvery or buffet.

Wasn't that bloke called John? Used to be a postman.

I can remember my bluenose best mate at school desperately clinging to the fact Simon Sturridge was the fastest player in the league (according to some tests done at the time) and that meant he was better than Tony Daley.

Chortle.

I think you are right. John Williams was the ex postman and Coventry attacking player. Paul Williams was a defender who also played for Coventry but a couple of years after John. 'After John' reminds me of the Young Ones 'Bambi' episode.

Considerably more widespread......

Thanks Eamonn. Just Villainous and Sexual, like a less lovable Fred West.

We last beat Man Utd at Villa Park on my 13th birthday. Seems an unbelievably long time ago.

Happy birthday SE. We'll do them tomorrow, don't you worry!
