Lansbury & Jedinak out - Hogan training & Gabby back for Tuesday.

Glad Lansbury is out, 2 reasons - he hasn't yet shown anything of any note in a Villa shirt and against Forest he'd be so hyped up by the stick he'd get you'd fancy a red card would be nailed on

Agree with the Lansbury comment - mildly positive on this one but am erring on the side of caution.

1-1 unbeaten run continues but its not enough to save Bruce

Well we're about to start playing an 'expansive game'.

So 1-2.

                             Johnstone

Elmo        Chester         Terry          Taylor

                      Doyle -Hayes

Snodgrass          Hourianne            Adomah

                                        Kodjia

                            Davis

From the off move the ball with slick tempo passing and get the ball wide

3-1

I've seen enough in 2 games that Doyle-Hayes is a better option in that position than the snail that is Whelan

I don't want Bjarnasson anywhere near Birmingham, let alone the bench.  The bloke is a bomb scare.
I agree. I once had fairly high hopes for Bjarnasson but not any more. He looks totally out of place in English football. His "defending" football Boro's second goal the other night was straight out of school boy football.

Can we have a decent referee for this one?

Expect Bruce to be ultra cautious after the Barnsley 'nose bleed' experience.

1-1.

That's even more unrealistically optimistic than predicting a home win.

He's 33, of course he's not going to be quick. I think he's done ok. You need a clogger in there sometimes to try and break up the play.

Big week this week, three winnable games on paper.  Win them all and we are right back in the mix.  Amazing what a bit of Cyprus sun can do to your brain 😁

Doyle - Hayes does look useful and keeps the ball well but for me he's one for the future. He doesn't look up to the thud and blunder of championship football just yet. I'd stick with Whelan for now he's the snappy little dog in the middle that we need right now.

We will do these. 3-1 Villa, Kodjia hat trick to get him off the mark for the season.
