4-4-1-1
Johnstone
Hutton, Chester, Terry, Taylor
Elmo, Whelan, Hourahane, Green
Lansbury
Hogan

Subs: Steer, Bree, Samba, Amavi, Gabby, Bacuna, Bjarnasson.

2-0 win Terry,Gabby

And Small Heath to lose at the Tractor Boys

9 out of 11 I reckon.  Swap Bacuna and Gabby for Hourihane and Hogan and I reckon it is full house.

My lad came to his first game at VP just before his fourth birthday. We beat Hull 1-0 with a goal from John Carew.

So as he's coming Saturday, I'll go full circle - we'll win 1-0 with a goal from John Carew.

Based purely on this i'm changing my prediction from 0-0 to 1-0. James Chester to score and continue the JC trend.

A dull as ditchwater 0-0.
Mr Optomistic me  but I can't remember ever being less enthusiastic at the start of a season

For 33 years I've been saying that as dishwater instead of ditchwater. If only I'd of known.
Both are fine, you haven't looked an idiot all that time. At least, not for that.

Assist from Sidwell warming up or was that a different game?

Edit: We were a real bogey team for Hull in their premier league appearences, don't think they've taken even a point at Villa Park.

Also remember playing them in the FA cup under Gregory when we were top of the prem and they were bottom of the football league.

The Sidwell game was 3-0, although Carew did score in that one too.

I THINK the Carew 1-0 was a header with him celebrating by kicking the coener flag into the crowd.

Maybe it was winter and he wore gloves and short-sleeved?

Will go for a scarpy 1-0 with Green getting off the mark.  Think Hull might struggle this season.

They had a decent pre season and took a couple of Chelsea lads on loan. I hope you're right but seem like an unknown quantity particularly with the new manager

No, the corner flag was a 1-0 win over Stoke, December 2009.  The 1-0 win over Hull was May 2009, on a Moday night.  Carew scored and we won 1-0.

Because their owner's a c*** - fuck the fuckers!

Villa 3-0

I like their owner. He's right, "Hull City" is a massively unoriginal and boring name. "Hull Tigers" is much better.

Anyway, 0-0.

I feel the same about us sharing our name with Pelsall. Boring.  I'd much prefer we changed to the B6 Bullets.

Our name is superb. "Hull City" is atrocious. Not sure what there is to gain by pretending otherwise?

You started the nonsense CD.

What "nonsense"? You think "City" is a decent name for a team?

No I think football supporters deserve not to be dicked about by moronic owners who suggest changing the name of their effing football club. Hull is a city. Hull City FC. Fucks sake.
