That was really boring. We never seem to have any creativity in the middle, we just shove it out wide to Green or Amavi and say beat 3 players on your own. We could do with a creative player playing behind the strikers.

Samba played well again.

Highlight of the game was not seeing Richards on the pitch.

I was reasonably encouraged first half - we did create a few chances but lacked quality to take them

But we got worse as it went on. Green worsened. Taylor's delivery was terrible. We really looked like we had no idea how to break them down. Gabby was never a threat and is never a threat. Kodjia and adomah and grealish would add to that. But there must be kids we could loan from Chelsea or arsenal etc who've got more quality in the final third - e.g. In any of the three pairions behind the main striker

Genius by Bruce to bring on Tish at the death to waste a few seconds and clinch the point.
LOL 😂

We need someone to create something from midfield. I don't know if it's the system we play or what, but at no point did we have any good linkup between strikers and midfield today. It was all down to wide players trying to cut across and ending up running the ball into dead ends or into Walsall players. Frustrating to watch.

Agreed. Today it was partly that the central two were gabby and Thor who just lack quality

I'm hopeful that grealish and Kodjia would be more of a threat.

Creativity from midfield is what we've been desperately lacking for years. I thought Grealish might be the answer but he hasn't really stepped up to the plate.

That reminded me of a game I used to like, football, where two teams passed a ball to their teammates and tried to kick it between some goalposts. It was a little bit like that, only much slower and the players just kicked the ball anywhere and didn't bother with the goalposts. Not very entertaining. I can't see it catching on.

Very worrying that we are less than 3 weeks from the first game and we are not creating chances against average league 1 sides. Apart from Terry and samba not one player looked amy good. Be lucky to finish mid table at this rate.

80th minute epitomizes  this shit Bruce side.
Tippy tappy boring crap ending in an aimless punt into the box. Hogan completely  on his own nowhere near the ball surrounded by 5 defenders.

I really cannot see how he has managed 4 promotion sides. He is as clueless as Sherwood, defensively minded as TSM and as nonsensical as Lambert.

We could be fucked here guys

Same old same old. we need creativity and grealish is only player we have to do that. No good bringing him for odd game here and there he needs a run of games to get up to speed. His best performances were under Sherwood who played him regularly.  Bit like Lee Hendrie given few opportunities under little then John Gregory came in and he was first on team sheet. He was then our best player for a lot of games and created and scored quite a few. unfortunately Grealish is not a Brucie type of player

It feels a lot like last season never actually ended. That's the most depressing thing. There's no zip or energy.

It's looking like another season being heavily reliant on Kodjia scoring, which isn't good.

Not a clue what system we play but whatever that shite is we won't be scoring many goals.

Our balance and positional awareness going forward is the worst.

I agree, totally.
If we have to witness the tippy, tappy bollox across the back 4 like we did tonight, it's going to be a long, long fruitless season.
