We're playing 433 or 4231 - Lansbury the deepest (decent on ball but weak defensively). Thor getting fwd most

Terry and samba comfy; full backs a bit exposed

Definitely sharper to the ball and better passing than the last game (but no more than reasonable and still sloppy)

Quite a few decent chances - mostly for Thor but also for gabby, samba and terry

Green the attacking pick.

Thor and gabby just give the ball away time and time and time again. I'll be worried if either feature much.

Samba does look ok but won't dislodge Chester, which is fine. Bjarnasson continues to shine. Like a black hole. Green creates nothing, sorry but he's like Adomah but less involved in the game. Was Lansbury on the pitch? Gabby is now laughably bad. Terry is class. The others neither here nor there.

I'd completely forgotten Villa were playing.

Have we been any good?

Green has done f all

I agree - same as the previous couple of games but I think that the idea is to get him to feel like he belongs. he's not going to be tearing defences apart just yet.

Green has been playing on the opposite side to where he normally does in fairness.

I think green has been good - just need to sharpen up his final ball

Gabby offers little and clearly Chester should start showed of samba. Green looks a real threat but they've clearly identified that and have doubled up on him

Disagree, thought Gabby did ok that half. Certainly more involved than Hogan ever is
he's been better than hogan but with jk we just don't look like scoring outside of set pieces

We still don't have enough creativity for me. We're happy run it into the corners and try and cross it. Which has been easy to deal with so far for Walsall.

I also thought they looked far more comfortable on the ball. Which is a worry.

We look a lot better defensively than at this stage last season

Terry for elphick
Johnstone for Gollini
Samba for Richards

Much more confident

Taylor is no wing back though. He's a full back

Think people need to give Thor a chance, his movement is great. His touch will come with games.

Love him or loathe him, Id love to hear Terrys' assessment of the players around him. After all, he will know who is or isn't?
