Compared to QuickBooks, the sponsor is relatively unimposing.

Do they do them in claret and blue?  I actually like the fairly simple designs (although don't like claret socks) but colours still not right in my view.  They seem to have changed the shade of claret on the club shop website to the same shade of purple as the shirts.   Working from a rogue template by the looks of it.

So with you on this one.  Agree with each point.  Burnley don't appear to have problems with the colour but we do.  Agree about the socks as well.

They create the colours based on guidelines. Is it possible that we in our heads have a claret and blue we prefer, one which resonates with us by way of a great team, or period of time or a kit we all loved that had a colour we associate with as the club colours? But in actuality those we wrong base on the club guidelines.

I'm having a hard time believing professional design firms fuck up the colours year after year given the process it would undergo for approval. It would be quite stringent I imagine. Maybe the club just needs modify the standards.

Club Shop is shut for refurb but the kiosk is in the car park. My lad bought the new training top today. Light grey with the mint colour detail. Quite nice. They have the new training gear in stock. Kits available 29th July

Well-said, probably near the mark of a likely explanation.

I don't think so.  Apart form a couple of dodgy ones in the late 90s or early noughties I think the shirt colours have been reasonably consistent from the time I started watching in the mid 60s right up until Macron entered the scene at which point, for some unknown reason,  things took a turn for the purple, combined with a very wishy washy shade of blue.   Under Armour seemed to have followed suit, although this year's look a little better than last.   Nike didn't have a problem with the colours, and you only have to look at the array of 60s, 70s, and 80s retro shirts in the club shop to see that they are all fairly similar in colour,  and very different to the Macron and UA efforts.   I don't know if it's the manufacturers doing or if someone in the club gave them a template in these shades, but whatever it is it doesn't match what went before for most of the previous 45 years.  It's not the end of the world it's just an annoyance, but I won't ever buy one in these colours.

It's the same every year..

I don't like the colour
I don't like the design
I don't like the away kit
I don't like the sponsor
I don't like the badge

If you like it buy it. If you don't then don't buy it.

It's a kit they wear it Match day as long as they win games they can wear a bin bag for all I care

The majority seem to be saying they like it.

Don't we normally have a poll?

I am gutted because I really like both of them, especially the away one, but am boycotting due to the Under Armour trophy hunting issue. I could have even had one sent to me free as part of the kit launch promotion and turned it down!

What a season this is going to be - not only having a kit made by people who support killing animals for fun, but putting a known racist in one of them. Yay!

Of course many sports kit manufacturers have some issue with ethics, but I am now of the mind that I would like us to think a little harder about this.

All I will say on the annual kit launch bun fight is that had tinternet been around back in 1993, this site would be in meltdown over the green/black eyesore that people now hold up as some kind of iconic strip. It'll be in the bargain bin like all the others in 11 months' time.

I like the kits. The away one looks badass. The Sponsors logo looks lame but whatever. We have had worse.

Do we know how much the deal is worth and, this payment, does it count towards FFP and our potential transfer budget?

Like the away one- is it based on the mosaic on the holte with the claret stripe across it?

Not a fan of the home shirt. Fkn too many lions everywhere. What about some unicorns? Some trophies would be nice next season too, but unicorns more realistic.
