Aww, did the nasty Villa fans laugh at you?

What is it with stripes and being sad obsessives?

Well, one pretty pathetic individual took time out from painting his Warhammer soldiers to make two banners to celebrate our relegation. Just like no other fan of a team ever done. Joined in ridiculing a relegated side, sure, but going to the effort of making two banners to do that? Aberrant behaviour if you ask me.

Re: obsessives, this is stoked by local media, your papers and ours love to drag it up because it gets clicks/sells papers.

Embarrasing, I thought you Geordies were big hard fellas?
Football fans in holding a grudge shocker. I'm sure Villa fans don't harbour a grudge with players, managers, pundits or teams... right?

Let's be honest here.  Whoever sent Newcastle down in 08/09 was always going to have a laugh.  It just happened to be us.

Also last year, we expected to be well beaten by you lot at Villa Park as we were shite.  The fact you didn't, coupled with Sunderland beating Chelsea, meant we got to laugh again.

It's nothing personal, it's just the fixture computer gave us a giggle.

As for the game, 2-0 to Newcastle.  As easy a home win as Newcastle will have all season.

A laugh? Sure, going to the bother of making banners? No.

Outside of local rivals I can't think of any club's fanbase going to the bother of all that childishness.

We relegated Cardiff in 13/14 and after a short burst of "Going Down" we were back to being concerned with the running of our own club. No banners to mock Cardiff, only to protest our owner.

We just don't like you very much.

The fact they still whine about it says a lot more about them than it does us.

Will the Sky cameras focus in on a shirtless, baldy headed,Geordie fat fuck? Of course they will.
Will we earn ourselves zero points through some measure of ineptitude? Of course we will.
3-0.

The problem with you lot is you genuinly believed all that "Everybodies 2nd favourite club" media bollocks, you take yourselves way to seriously. 8 years on and you're still crying over a fucking banner.

;D What nonsense. We've not been called "Everyone's 2nd favourite club" since Keegan's reign in the 90's. It's only people who haven't moved on from Sky, talkSport and 606 cliches from 20 years ago, that still reference that utter horseshit.

We fundamentally don't take ourselves too seriously at all, ask the rest of the Championship, they'e been effusive in their praise for us. Though I wouldn't admit to being a Villa fan when asking Brentford as they didn't take too kindly to you from what I've heard.

Every season the enmity is given new life by fans on both sides of the divide, by local papers and by the morons who phone-in and listen to Sky, talkSport and 606. 8 years isn't that long in football. Only 8 years ago you were qualifying for the Europa League by finishing 6th in the top flight.

We just don't like you very much.

To be honest, until the banner, you didn't really appear on our RADAR. Not that you weren't a famous old club, or rivals for our ambitions in the top half, just that you didn't elicit much of a response. Not in the same way the other big clubs did.

... you realise of course that was in response to the banners you brought, right? So I'm not sure it makes the point you hoped it would.

To the fish out of water...
Sad, obsessive, self-absorbed and humourless seems to sum you and your fellow "town" supporters up.... qualities epitomised perfectly by that wannabee jordi, fat boy quinn.

As for the game, based on current form I can't see us getting a result but I would love it, love it if we beat them. Sh-t, there I go again, taking the p-ss out of the jordi's!

If we pinky promise not to care enough to visit your site is there any possibility you'd fuck off from ours? Thanks.

Maybe if you weren't so far up your own Everybody's Favourite Club/Bestest Supporters in the World arses nobody would have been all that bothered. Maybe if you didn't keep dragging it up, all this would have been long forgotten. Maybe.

Well, apart from the fact that your fellow Villa fans bring it up, your local papers bring it up and your twitter hardmen bring it up.

Apart from them, maybe it would have been forgotten. Maybe. ;)

p.s. that "everyone's 2nd favourite club" wasn't invented by us, or accepted by us, it was invented by Sky and seems to persist purely because it rankles with fans of clubs like Aston Villa. None of us much give a shit.

Nobody mentioned it in here until you graced us with your presence and brought it up.

What the fuck is a twitter hard man?

Of course you don't. And of course you don't bring it up. Possibly it's some other grudge you refer to earlier. Either way, if you don't care about us, why are you on here?

I said we didn't care about you. Now, because of one member of your fanbase's oddness the consensus on Tyneside has changed.

I signed up to this site to see your opinions on the Championship, on players, on fixtures, on Bruce, and so on. I would have signed up to Villatalk as well, but they're less welcoming.
