that's exactly how I see it - brinkmanship that backfired.

Darren Moore with zero managerial experience took over the Bitters who were on a run of 1 win in 30 league games. Since then their record is W10 D5 L3, their defence is iffy so they rattle them in at the other end. That is turning around a team, not the shit Bruce spent 2 years serving up.

I’m so angry about the state he’s left the defence in. Any fucking idiot could see how deficient we are there, and any of the moron pundits should be embarrassed to defend him.

The more I think about it, the more I think the lack of recognised central defenders was an act of sabotage by bruce. It's just breathtakingly negligent.
That, and allowing Steer to go on loan.

This.

Merson above anyone else should be ashamed with his comments.

All that stuff I said the other night about feeling sorry for him can go hang. The guy should be drummed out of the game for the effort he put in here.

He wasn’t up to the job but that’s unfair

No it isn't in my opinion. He was paid 2 million pounds a year to manage a football team, wanted more control over transfers in the summer, sulked at the 2 players given to him by Mendes and sabotaged our defence to try and force the board to sign a 38 year old on 70k a week. Who the fuck does that and deserves another club? I would not wish him on another set of fans for the wilful negligence he managed us with in the last 4 months.

The defence was negligence. I’m not a ‘proper football man’ and I could have told you that the personnel he’d assembled in defence were always going to fail. I’d love to sit down with the moronic pundits and get them to explain how he’d done a good job. Decent journalists call his failures out.

On the contrary I would wish him on all our rivals. Okay he’s useless but if another club wants to take him in so what? He’s got his just desserts with us but if he wants to get another job fair play to him.

Agree with that, I also genuinely hope no other fan has to suffer that shite.

Having seen us play this year, I’m more and more convinced us getting vaguely close last year was down to Terry’s influence.

This, the self sabotage of Steve Bruce aside we have no leaders on the pitch. The loss of Terry and Snoddgrass effectively left us rudderless.

It’s the punditry double standards that annoy me the most. They’re all prepared to weigh in on Man Utd having been embarrassing, but Aston Villa having performed comparatively worse at a lower level and Bruce was doing a ‘great job’.
