Percy in the Telegraph reckons Purslow wants stability and doesn't have an appetite to get rid. If true, Purslow starts out as a spineless wibbler.

My biggest issue though is that I just don't get what he actually does:

He doesn't do any training
He doesn't work out tactics to target weaknesses in the opposition
He doesn't add anything during the match, with his subs either premeditated (Adomah off after about 65-70 minutes has been a recent one, as was subbing off Hourihane for a while) or reactionary and his tactical changes almost completely divorced from what's actually happening (how many times have his changes made us look better?)
His squad building is fucking abysmal
and now his motivational ability is questionable as well, which was probably the only thing he had in his favour.

What does he actually do away from from the dug out?

I think you're wrong, I think he does all of the above. The problem is he's obviously not very good at any of them. Since the day he arrived everything I feared has come true with the exception of 'winning ugly'. He can't even do that on a consistent basis despite every season having one of the, if not the best squads in the Championship.

I think I am in the majority when I say I didn't want Bruce but when he came I desperately wanted him to succeed. There is no animosity about who he previously managed indeed if he had got us promoted even if the football was terrible he would have got plaudits all round but the facts speak for themselves, last season Wolves apart we had players most other clubs can only dream of, we plundered other championship sides for there best players and we had quality from the premiership, he failed to produce clear and simple. This season he has great players at this level to call upon yet the football is terrible and we see clubs with few recourses running rings around us. Sorry Steve you had your chance and fcked it up don't wait until the supporters really turn it isn't pleasant.

As things stand, two away games at Bristol and Millwall, I can’t see us getting much from either. Even if we beat Preston at home next week 7/21 would be a horrific points return
