After the Brentford game he stood there taking the plaudits and smugly telling the world that this was how the team should play and had planned for it and he finally had the players available to him to play that way.

How come we have been NOWHERE, absolutely nowhere  near that level of performance since, not even close to it for a few minutes in any game ?

Seems to me that the Brentford game was despite Bruce, not because of him.

I’ll sound like a broken record but the Brentford performance wasn’t even that good. Just marginally better than the usual bilge.

One of the Sky commentators referred to it as scintillating or breathtaking (or some ridiculous description.) I do wonder how these people keep their jobs.

It's the moronic garbage he spouts at press conferences that is really getting to me. "We've lost one in 7 but I'm still under pressure. That's what it's like at a club like Aston Villa" Fuck off Steve just fuck off. I'm not gonna bother to break that down game by game because I've been there and witnessed for myself the clueless shit you've served up. With the talent you've had  at your disposal we should be battering teams and setting records in this division. Please stop taking us for fools with your verbal diarrhoea clear your desk and get the fuck out of our club. You have under achieved on a monumental scale.

Or how they got the job in the first place

And we should of lost!! Once Dean Smith made a couple of changes they battered us for half an hour and had some great chances to bury us. That's what proper managers do.

On talksport yesterday one of the commentators said that we won't give Bruce the credit he deserves because of his Small Heath connection. I wish they would cut this BS out. We don't like him cus he's shite. End of.

Isn't that what always happens when the other manager makes changes? As soon as blackburn brought on a few subs i was worried, because he doesn't seem to be able to react to the opposition changing things.

We've been fed all this promotion specialist bullshit since day one, safe pair of hands etc, etc.  By his own admission Aston Villa is the biggest job he's ever had, and likely to get and the reality of the situation is quite simple...he's been found out!  He's been allowed to assemble the best squad of players he's ever had and is just clueless as to what to do with them.  We can keep posting these sentiments ad nauseam it isn't going to change until he's gone.  There doesn't seem to be a sports journalist out there willing to call him out on it.  They can see exactly the same shit going on as we can so, where are they?

The Wolves performance was better, imo.

They both met my expectations of each season's side's capabilities, though; kept it up last year, we'd have gone up automatically, and Brentford was the level of performance (lack of shots on target not withstanding, obviously) we're going to need week in, week out if we're to stand any chance of going up this time around.

It's absolute bollocks, time after time.  On Sky yesterday they mentioned at least 4 or 5 times that he was an expert at promotion.  The Birmingham connection has never been mentioned by anybody with half a brain, not even when he was first appointed.  He could have an SHA tattoo on his arse cheeks for all I care if he looked even remotely competent.

The first 70 minutes or so was excellent, to say it was only "marginally" better is ridiculous. Book an appointment at specsavers!
