It might be a bit of a academic argument, but where would we be without 3 very, very late goals in the last few games? 18th/19th I think.

Papering over the cracks doesn’t  even start to describe it.

I don't think there is much debate anymore of whether he should stay or go
anyone looking over the last two years and says we can't do any better than Bruce must be a close relative

we are at the point now where it's the sad case of putting him and us out of our collective misery
its the best for all concerned

You're right John, time is right now. If we are in a similar position come mid Oct, we may have too much distance between us and the top two.

I'd have pulled the trigger after Sheff Utd, and that incoherent no-show has done nothing to change my mind. If we were to lose to Rotherham on Tuesday surely the owners will have had enough too.

Can't disagree with that, mate.
The other side of the coin is, in the two games vrs Brentford and Reading we could easily have been 3 to 4 goals up at half time had our finishing been better, and neither opponents could have argued at that. So we could, possibly, have been 2nd

We are where we are, but where we are is not nearly good enough.

I don’t know if that changes the argument though it just highlights the fact that we’ve played well in only 2 games and we couldn’t capitalise on those performances.

And he’s just outright lying now.
On WM last night he said that when he took over we were “bottom, no second bottom”.

He will last until the Oct international break at the longest. Unless by some miracle we start playing to our capabilities and win games.

I’d love for just one journalist to call Bruce out on his constant, deliberate bullshit that he uses to deflect blame from himself. In just the last 24 hours we’ve had:

We were 23rd when I took over (we were actually 19th - Cardiff were 23rd, I wonder what happened to them?

Jack missed 6 months of last season (he actually missed 3).

And his regular favourite - we’ve lost 6 of the team from the play off final (it was 4, and that’s your fault anyway Steve).

Not to mention his focusing on the penalty decision yesterday whilst completely ignoring their disallowed goal that should’ve stood.

The side from last season argument is such bullshit. He has better options out wide now, better options up front, better options in midfield. The only positions that are not better are keeper and centre half, both of which are his fault!

Boot him out and gamble on Terry as player/manager. He'd unite the squad and organise the defence.

Do it now. Bruce doesn't deserve Rotherham at home.

Anyone else think he doesn't look very well?

I thought that too. He's got that haunted look that Lambert and McLeish had towards the end of their days at Villa.
