Anyway back to Bruce, I hope he goes as I really don’t see how we get promoted with him as manger.
What do you mean? Don’t you know he’s won FOUR promotions😒

I voted to give him until Christmas, I think we have to let these new players bed in and see how it goes.  We have no injuries this time around to the likes of Jack and Kodjia and despite the crap football, we have started better than last season.  I think the owners will give him a chance but should be sounding people out behind the scenes.  He still needs to address the lack of a proper centre back and will have to juggle his squad but I think he's done well with the signings so far, the problem being that he will be judged by the business he hasn't done rather than what he HAS done.

Just read an article about our loan situation. Just about everyone everywhere agrees that we need a centre back, left back and striker. We can only ever name 5 in the squad. We've just signed 2 really good wide players, great, we have no choice but to use one of the 2 loan keepers. Axel is playing every game at the moment (possibly a condition of his loan agteement) so how are we going to bring use the 3 loan players we so desperately need? If he does bring in a centre back and left back we lose the quality wide players so back to square one. Bruce has made a complete mess of it. Losing Joe Bryan has obviously caused a big problem but why wasn't there a contingency plan in place?

Moreira is a loan but Nyland is ours.
Oh i must've missed that thanks.

In relation to the loans players that we have brought in, do we have to wait until January for them to be purchased outright, or can it be done today and then it frees up another spot?

In  the case of "a loan with a view to buy" it's usually a season long agreement. I think you can sign loan players on a permanent deal in January if both parties agree.

Everyone is entitled to an opinion.

But, those who spend 90 minutes slagging off every player, and everything get on my nerves. We all get carried away at times, that's the passion we have, we all disagree at times too, which is what it's all about.

It doesn't make us any less of a fan.

As a general point, that is a ridiculous number of loanees in the team. How many teams have been promoted recently without relying heavily on players loaned from big PL clubs and/or through some shady super agent. Thanks, FFP.

Joe Bryan would have been fantastic.  However, Hutton is adequate in that position.  Taylor, like most other players was appalling on Tuesday night but as an experienced international, is okay for back up.

We have to accept that Axel is going to be the central defender partnering Chester in the long term.  Huth may come in on a free signing IF he isn't registered with a club at present but I can't believe that even Bruce is stupid enough to plan a season with Axel playing RB ahead of Elmo.

Moreira is baffling.  We don't know who signed him or why.  On Tuesday, there was one incident where he tried to do some kind of silly turn on an advancing striker in his 6 yard box and almost had the ball nipped from his feet.  He was that casual, you'd have thought that the ref had blown to stop play.  Then there is the drop that caused Taylor to clear off the line in the 2nd half.  Steer is more able and certainly more trustworthy.  I cannot work out how this loan is benefiting us and is the one that is causing us problems regarding the 5 maximum limit.  It is depriving us of a striker/LB unless Bunn steps up as number 2.

It just seems a very familiar pattern, lop sided squad, loans instead of using our youth, unconvincing wins then followed by unconvincing draws and a defeat, albeit with a B team who were made up with a lot of SBs signings. A lot of our wins last season were done with individual brilliance rather than tactics and a team pattern grinding opponents down.

I really don't think he's the man our new over lords want, especially as they mentioned an empathise on young player's. Once a CEO is in place it'll be the Spanish archer for Bruce.

The argument is that Steer's getting game time somewhere else.

Yes, I'm aware of that but it is the one (squad) position where it is detrimental to let a fringe player out IF it means using up a loan place on the bench.  If Bunn is number 2, then I can live with it, otherwise, it is pointless to loan someone out only to replace him with a (weaker) loanee.
