Joe Bryan would have been fantastic.  However, Hutton is adequate in that position.  Taylor, like most other players was appalling on Tuesday night but as an experienced international, is okay for back up.

We have to accept that Axel is going to be the central defender partnering Chester in the long term.  Huth may come in on a free signing IF he isn't registered with a club at present but I can't believe that even Bruce is stupid enough to plan a season with Axel playing RB ahead of Elmo.

Moreira is baffling.  We don't know who signed him or why.  On Tuesday, there was one incident where he tried to do some kind of silly turn on an advancing striker in his 6 yard box and almost had the ball nipped from his feet.  He was that casual, you'd have thought that the ref had blown to stop play.  Then there is the drop that caused Taylor to clear off the line in the 2nd half.  Steer is more able and certainly more trustworthy.  I cannot work out how this loan is benefiting us and is the one that is causing us problems regarding the 5 maximum limit.  It is depriving us of a striker/LB unless Bunn steps up as number 2.

The argument is that Steer's getting game time somewhere else.

If only that was true, he is sitting on Charlton's bench!

Everyone is entitled to an opinion.

But, those who spend 90 minutes slagging off every player, and everything get on my nerves. We all get carried away at times, that's the passion we have, we all disagree at times too, which is what it's all about.

It doesn't make us any less of a fan.

I only take somebody's opinion on here seriously and consider them a proper fan if they have at least 16,000 posts.
Minimum 20000 for me.

Sensible. I thought I’d give Drummond something to motivate him though 😉

Quite spookily, at the very moment I was reading that post weatherman John Kettley used that word in an interview about Burnley on Talksport.

My personal opinion is that due to the fact we have new owners who took over so close to the start of the season they quite wisely chose to stick with the manager who knew the squad and what areas of it needed strengthening. Also he did take us to one game away from a return to the Premier League. I also don't think he deserves the bullet based on our start to the season (fourth in the table and unbeaten in the league). But the flip side to that is the fact he has been 'inherited' by the new owners as opposed to being their own managerial appointment. I think when they have appointed a CEO and we reach the approach of the mid season transfer window a decision will be made to back or sack him. You would imagine our league position at that point will be one factor in the decision, but I doubt it will be the only factor.

Anyway back to Bruce, I hope he goes as I really don’t see how we get promoted with him as manger.
What do you mean? Don’t you know he’s won FOUR promotions😒

Not relevant but how many relegations has he had?

If he’s not considered good enough to start for a League 1 club why are we fussed?

Because his replacement appears even worse and is currently taking up one of the 5 loan spaces in the match day squad.

Steer has been around long enough now and I am afraid he will not make it at this level. Time for the Club and him to consider different options if any.

Number of posts is like Bruce's win percentage.  It has to be put in context.  20,000 posts racked up on African Car Reverser and Why didn't Gareth Barry take the penalty? are as nothing compared with heavy duty stuff like Fans Worried About The Future and Guess The Crowd and the outing of trolls.  Some of my best friends have fewer than 10,000 posts.
