I love the wires. Go for it, Villa. I'm so bored with MON, etc in the 20th Century.

Rise up, you Villa monsters. We deserve better.

The wires are humming.
Fair play to them.

Let's remember one thing, Hull City fans were happy to see him go.

Work that one out for yourselves.

But right now looking at the championship who is a better manager Bruce or Terry Henry?
Who knows? I do know that Steve Bruce has been given every chance of getting us up but ultimately came p short. As for TH no-one can say with any conviction either way. If they do decide to go for it with TH us fans have only one duty. To back him to the hilt and pray for the best

As things turned out I am quite relieved we missed promotion because there is every chance we would have faced relegation again. With the squad we had and Bruce committing to buying the players on loan none of which I believe were up to the Prem we would have been fodder for the rest.
At least now we have owners that have the money to compete and hopefully are more attuned to running a football club.

The worst news I could read tomorrow is that Steve Bruce stays on as manager.

I reckon I could think of one or two worse than that......

I’ll start with:

‘Pardew in Talks With Villa’

‘Cotterill in Talks With Villa’

‘Fry In Talks With Villa.’

Shiver

'Leighton Needs Banner Out Of Storage'

More than anything else, and I grant you we’ve all said this before we need to put in long term plans for growth and success. I hope above all else the money that will be available is out to good use so that this isn’t once again a short term, poorly thought out tactic to get promoted and survive year to year. Stability isn’t keeping Steve Bruce. Stability is a club that creates an identity that is repeatable for generations to come.

The wires are saying it’s a done deal.

Wires? As in, from the frontline? What does this expression mean

They said Omar was coming, so I don't think they know anything.

Bruce or Terry Henry?

Let's start with Bruce is taking us no where..do you really want another 12 months of nothing? There or there a fuckin' abouts?
I'd prefer Dim Tim back and I hate the days he spent at Villa Park.

If it's Henry, they must know more than we do but Bruce is never the answer. I'm prepared for shite but not Bruce bollox? Only if we accept we have no ambition. I'd rather have glory-boy McLeish back. At least he knows how to win. Bruce is our final stale fart.

Far be it from me to gainsay anything from a man with a Clash reference in his name, but as someone who never wanted Bruce and has never rated him while he’s been here, I’d still beg him to stay if McLeish or Sherwood were the other options.

Yes, this is about right as a principle.
Regarding Terry Henry, I’m concerned that we’re going for someone who has not really experienced the rigours of a full campaign as a manager, let alone the second tier challenges.

Bruce is still going to be in a job isn’t he? The Henry rumours would have come from a few more sources by now.

Fine words but if we go for an untried, big name appointment it doesn’t suggest stability or an eye on the long term. It’s more of a statement appointment which will no doubt go down well with many, in the short term at least, but it is unarguably a gamble.

As with any gamble though some you win, some you lose so all we can do is keep our fingers crossed.
