Maybe Henry will come in as Bruce's assistant?

Henry won't come without some assurances  that he'll have a good level of investment in the squad. If that means Grealish, Chester or other's being sold I cant see what's in it for him, especially as his first appointment.  If he fails he's branded as such & it sticks.

Bruce could get us top 6 if any money is invested but we loose Grealish , Chester etc...

If the new owner's are looking towards the medium to long-term then Henry or his like is what we need.

Short-term stability & more of the same it's  Bruce.

Gven how close the start of the season is do we stick with Bruce, with everyone, including the players knowing that ultimately he's on borrowed time.

A young inventive manager and coaching team is what we need, with a young energetic team. I'm just not sure that's Henry, the expectation will be there from day one & the press will be waiting to pounce.

Bruce it is then, for now....

Only if he changes his name to Terry Henry.

'Prolonged underachievement' is another way of putting it.

If Bruce was always due to meet the new owners tomorrow I guess we may not hear anything concrete til that meeting has taken place.
Training for him today might have been a bit awkward, mind.

Stick with the plane analogy, last season we had a brand new, state of the art plane but a captain who was scared that every cloud looked like a storm so we landed 2 hours late.

We're now expecting the same captain to fly the same route but with in a plane with loads of the features removed and he hasn't changed his opinion on the clouds. The alternative is a pilot who's never flown the route and has only recently qualified. With the former it's safe to say we'll be late again but will land 'there or thereabouts' in the country we were aiming for. The other pilot might have problems or he might arrive on time.

If you've paid a fortune for the ticket and can't afford to be late which pilot do you want? The one who might arrive on the time but is a risk or the one who you're fairly sure will be late?

I reckon Steve Bruce is Boeing Boeing gone.

My apologies.

If on boarding a plane you have a choice of two pilots. One who has flown many times before and has the best record in the company or one who has never flown before but has a great record as a steward. Who would you choose ?? I rest my case. Support Bruce he has turned us into a respected club after we were on the verge of going into League one and beyond …..
I'd put Henry down more as a co-pilot with no hours in the captain's seat.  Bruce is more a WW1 flying ace being asked to fly an Airbus.
Haha I love that

A week ago we were looking into the Abyss.
Now we are discussing if Bruce or Henry should be our manager.

It’s easy.  Va va vooooom.

I think Henry would be a disaster, but not as big a disaster as going bust so I can’t grumble too much.

People stop badly quoting I don't know to whom to be bitchy.

As to Bruce, he's in this odd position where, even though he could feel aggrieved at being sacked, nor should he be surprised.

Odd isn't it.

I still reckon he will be given time tomorrow and the Henry thing is a flight of fancy from the press.

Seems to be being a bit too widely reported for it to be a flight of fancy.

Bruce or Terry Henry?

Let's start with Bruce is taking us no where..do you really want another 12 months of nothing? There or there a fuckin' abouts?
I'd prefer Dim Tim back and I hate the days he spent at Villa Park.

If it's Henry, they must know more than we do but Bruce is never the answer. I'm prepared for shite but not Bruce bollox? Only if we accept we have no ambition. I'd rather have glory-boy McLeish back. At least he knows how to win. Bruce is our final stale fart.

Wires? As in, from the frontline? What does this expression mean
