Out of interest, why are people so against Henry?
Great question  I can’t wait to read the answers
The fact that he has never been near managing a professional football club and dont say he did well with Belgium as my pet goldfish could pick a team with Hazard, De Bruyne, etc in

I think I'd prefer to see Ashworth brought in first, especially considering how close we are to the start of the season.  He can properly assess the club and then appoint a manager which aligns with the club's long term vision from the best of the St George's Park graduates.

But only Bruce would play Hazard as a defensive midfielder.

I saw that an attention seeking Twittererer reckoned it was because he’s black. Oddly enough she didn’t have any evidence to back up her claim.

Everyone on Twitter is attention seeking to some degree, it's why they are on Twitter.

I’m on it to promote local music and moan about Brexit.

How about Henry with Wenger as mentor?

So you want the attention of people reading your posts. It may not be the 'oooh look at me' type of attention seeking, but the whole point of Twitter is to get the attention of random strangers.

Facebook is to interact with friends, a site like this one is to interact with people with one main shared interest, instagram/twitter etc are for attention seeking with strangers. And Tumblr is for porn. Allegedly.

Why Henry? Of all the people in the World what has he done in management to suggest he should be chosen?

It would basically be our version of Blose's Zola appointment but with fewer qualifications for the job.

It amazes me how easily some are impressed just because a big name is linked with us, regardless of his credentials. For such a big club, some of our supporters can be very small-time. Witness the abysmal "John Terry, he's won more than you" cringefest for another example.

I don't want him because it's yet another gamble.  At a time when we seem to have decent people in charge with the opportunity to builds something, I would prefer to have someone in charge who knows this league, has some experience of management of a big club with difficult expectations.  Being black, French, ex-Arsenal or a complete twat has nothing to do with it.  He's a risk, he's a circus waiting to happen and I would prefer the cameras to be on the team and not on the manager.

We'd be Thierry Henry's Aston Villa.

He may turn out to be a brilliant manager in the future, but his only experience so far is as a part-time assistant manager. I don't think i'd like us to be the club that finds out if he's a dud or any good.
