Why did he drop RHM from the squad  after coming on off the bench ?

not  having a moan at Bruce , just wondered , was he injured?

After all, we don't need to be brilliant to win through via the play-offs; just competent.

That's what I'm worried about - against QPR, Bolton, Hull and Norwich we've been anything but competent!
To go up automatically we didn't need to be brilliant just competent after the Wolves game.

Doesn't 1 year-rolling mean that you always have one year on your contract?
I'd imagine there'd be a clause in the contract where either side can opt to not have it renewed.  For example a clause where it states a minimum notice time of the contract not being renewed or if a set target isn't reached (Promotion) it's at our discretion to renew or not.

it's either that or he'll be sacked.
1-year rolling contract means that he's always got 12 months on it so any settlement for loss of job would be based on 12 months' notice.

He has done it before.

That's the final straw we have to cling to. Everything else just seems so predictable.

Top posts from Boozey & Brassneck.

It's not the final straw it's the only straw and only reason he was brought in in the first place

I presume because Kodjia was fit again.

We've lost 10 games. Last season Newcastle also lost 10, Brighton 9 and Huddesfield 13 (with a minus goal difference). I wonder if any if their fans would have advocated sacking their managers 5 games before the end of the season.
Whilst you were checking that did you not see how many games Newcastle and Brighton won?
I did, but if I mentioned that it would have ruined my argument. Still don't think Bruce should be sacked though, not even at the end of the season.

Honest question: why not?

Isn't he on a 1 year rolling contract?

If so he won't be sacked it'll just be his contract won't be renewed if we don't get promoted.  Even as a Bruce sympathiser I can't see him keeping his job if we fail to gain promotion this season as there will be no doubt that he'd have failed to hit the target he was set.

We could have got shot for nothing last summer. Now it is a years money.

Not injured, scored twice for the U23s last week and is currently playing in the youth FA cup game at Boro.

I think a one year Rolling contract is self explanatory.

If you're trying to cheer me up, try harder. We could have had Slaviša Jokanović last summer as things were so bad at Fulham.

Bruce has persuaded the club to take the route he planned. It's not over yet but if we fail to go up through the play offs, then Bruce will be responsible for the shit that follows. Cutting costs dramatically with aging players and too many loans, snubbed younger players, our best players likely to be sold to cut costs etc. Let's wait and see what happens.
A really good post which sums up why I keep saying Bruce is taking us backwards not forwards regardless of where we finish.

Can't see him going anywhere but this is fucking ridiculous now, yet again when things aren't happening it's throw attacking players on and hope.
