Not editing mine because it still holds true, the difference between today and the last few games was mainly that we got the moment of magic when it was still 0-0.

I'm actually nearly as scared of going up as I am of missing out, if we try to play like this against the top 6 in the premier league it's going to be cricket scores.

There really is no point worrying about how we’ll manage IF we go up.

We were definitely the better side tonight.

we were 2nd half, first half we were utter shite, but even when we improved (after Kod came on) they had the better chances because we couldn't cope with their pace.  That's why I struggle not only do we lack any real pace but we also slow our play down so we almost always have to break down a 'set' defence.

Other than the Hourihane chance we never really looked like scoring because every time we got into a crossing position we were looking at 1-2 villa players against 5-6 defenders.  That Jack scored a wonder strike shouldn't change the fact that we've still got a lot to do in attack if we want to do anything in the playoffs.

Brings Kodjia on, Grabban moves to the left and we looked miles better. Watch Hogan start on his own on Friday.

Kodjia needs to start and, as per the reserves thread, RHM needs to be on the bench.

RHM surely a better bet than Onomah.

Hourihane missed one sitter and another he should have done better with after Grealish back heel

Kodjia had a great chance when he turned Morrison in the box, probably should be squared it

We butchered at least 3 break aways when 1-0 up, granted Cardiff were pushing on at that stage

Bruce's sub to swap Kodjia for Adamoah changed the game and transformed our attacking play

Im not a Steve Bruce fan but this Bruce is the root of all our problems narrative is tiresome, especially after tonight

Kodjia for Adomah was absolutely the right change to make. The only criticism you can give Bruce tonight was that he didn't do it sooner as Albert was anonymous.

I think it's quite easy to twist the narrative to be anti-Bruce, but tonight it was a contest between one team in freefall and the other looking to right themselves, so the fact that we won doesn't give him a pass or a fail. The season wasn't decided tonight, and the fact that it could have been is why people are critical.

Kodge up front, give Albert a rest and push Grabban out wide. There's a hell of a way to go yet, more twist and turns. We're still there fighting for it, no time to sulk that we aren't in the top 2 the chance for promotion is in our hands.
