I like Chris Wilder though, it has to be said. Wouldn't be unhappy to see him as manager.
Ditto that

Whenever I see his name I link it immediately to Gene Wilder and Blazing Saddles. That cannot be a good thing, can it? Much as I enjoyed the humour, Gene Wilder running a football team would be mad!!

I think I'm going to post on Twitter that Villa are speaking to Helena Christensen about taking over from Steve Bruce. I have as much in the know as this 'Independent football journalist covering England and America' with 347 followers and a fake name.

Could be just what we need, bit of foreign glamour. I stayed in the same hotel as Ms Christensen and her mate Christy Turlington once, they are the most beautiful people I have ever seen, be great if Christy could come as Dof or assistant. Any idea if they have their coaching badges?

I'm sure they have - but not for our kind of balls.

An article from the Express where Bruce goes on the attack again! Dismissing that claims about tactics, him being a dinosaur and him not knowing what he is doing

Aston Villa news: John Terry return back on despite Spartak Moscow agreement claim
ASTON VILLA are back in the race to sign John Terry.
By JAMES WALTERS
PUBLISHED: 12:24, Wed, Sep 12, 2018 | UPDATED: 13:08, Wed, Sep 12, 2018

The 37-year-old was instrumental under Steve Bruce last season as the Villans reached the Championship playoff final.

However, Fulham won 1-0 at Wembley to secure promotion.

Terry left Aston Villa in the summer after his 12-month contract expired at Villa Park.

The former England captain has been tipped to join Russian outfit Spartak Moscow in recent weeks.

However, the Daily Star say Terry is now unsure about joining the Russian side.

Villa are now in the running to re-sign the defender, who would pocket £60,000-a-week at Villa Park.

The Championship side are yet to replace Terry following his summer exit.

Bruce opted to loan out Tommy Elphick to Hull for the remainder of the season, leaving Villa short at the back.

Mile Jedinak has played at centre-half this season alongside the ever-present James Chester.

The Villans were hammered at Sheffield United before the international break, with Bruce’s men losing 4-1.

And the Villa boss slammed his side following their defeat.

"Ultimately I take the responsibility because I pick the players, but some of them have got to have a look at themselves too," Bruce said.

"From back to front we were awful in a lot of aspects.

"But I've mentioned it far too many times, it's arguably the worst one I've faced, but that's the way it is.

"We can talk about tactics and 'you don't know what you're doing' and 'dinosaurs are going to come out’. But at the end of the day we didn't put our boots on."

Villa are back in action on Saturday afternoon, with Bruce’s men facing Blackburn (5:30pm kick-off).

There's no way I have the skills needed to do what Bruce does. Imagine the years of experience and knowledge you'd need to build an unbalanced squad, play people out of position, have no discernible style of play, sign lots of players and rarely play them, blame everyone else when it goes wrong and not bother turning up to watch training.

Classic Bruce. "Ultimately I take the responsibility" and then blames someone else. Twat.
