Terrific signing for the Rams -a perfect professional. Probably too good for this level.

Terrific signing for the Rams -a perfect professional. Probably too good for this level.

He hasn't consistently displayed the level necessary to start games in the championship over the past year or two, which may indicate that League One is more on his level now.

The most important factor for his move from Villa is that he is playing football and yes he's certainly good enough football player to play at league one level and will feel at ease.
He now sees himself as the seasoned pro for one of the major League One clubs, and his talent matches that since he'll be among the best in the league.
Because the team is rebuilding and Connor can be a powerful player, I think it's a wonderful fit for both of them.
Nigh on wonderful infact.
Good Luck Connor! Classy guy!

I wonder if there might be a coaching role in the making?

They've signed James Chester, too. Hope they both do well.

James Chester deserves a successful end to his career just for the sacrifices he made in the name of Aston Villa.  Along with Conor I always believed they were proud to wear our shirt.

I wish them both nothing but success, I don’t mind Derby and will keep an eye on their progress.

Both played their part in our rebirth.

With Conor and James they are in safe hands. 2 class guys.
Will be watching for their results this coming season.
