I'll always remember him for whacking that one in against the Albion in the play-off semi-final at Villa Park.  That in itself has him a hero to me.

Hourihane, Hutton, El Ghazi, Tammy, Chester, Steer, Elmo, Adomah. All players I'll think highly of forever for their performances in that season for me.

Same here. I’d also add Glenn Whelan to the list for the form he showed in the run in during our promotion season.

Glenn will always be a legend for missing the penalty vs Preston that sealed the deal to get rid of Bruceball

Very under rated player also

Decent move for him that. Easily good enough to be starting every game at the top of the Championship.

Good luck to Conor , he’s provided some memorable moments over the last 4 years. If not to be seen in a Villa shirt again, am sure he will get a warm reception at VP upon his return in away colours.

Good luck to him, but over the last couple of years I’ve found myself shouting FFS Hourihane, rather than well done Hourihane.

Shows how we've improved that other clubs actually want players that can't get in our first team any more, and they leave with our best wishes.

Albion at home - vital, vital and brilliant goal.
Blues at home - sealed the game - brilliant goal.
Blackburn away - 1-0 down - 93rd minute - brilliant free kick.
Wembley - sweeping pass for Adomah to set up Elmo for the cross for the first goal.
Albion semi - as cool as you like penalty in the shootout.

Those are the vital ones off the top of my head - I am sure there are more.

Great pro, tries to make the best of what he has got and never shirked his responsibilities and will always be remembered fondly by a lot.  Assuming this is it for him.

Best of luck to Conor - he's more than played his part in getting us where we are now.  Time's probably right for him to move on, though.  Coming up to the end of his contract, he needs more regular game time than the odd outing he'd get with us.  As I think someone had said before, over time I think he'll be seen as an underrated, but key player for us.

For me, Swansea are a perfect move for him - he'll get regular games, and hopefully manage to stay as a premier league player (albeit with a newly promoted club again) next season.

I really like Conor, he's been a great player for us and has scored some really important and great goals with plenty of assists as well. Good luck Conor.

Good luck Conor on your loan move to Swansea.
I'm surprised he's gone ahead of the Newcastle game because he loves playing against them. I'm also aurprised he's not gone to a lower PL team because he is PL.
That said I'll be hoping Swansea get promoted with Conor in the team.
Conor's been a huge player for Villa. A great influence on and off the pitch and in games always had Jack's back. Thanks for all the goals and assists! (My favourite was his free kick goal vs Barnsley in a 3-1 win for very personal reasons to me).  He is a model professional and it comes as no surprise to me that he has chosen to go to play football rather than sit on the bench. Conor (along with the likes of James Chester and Uncle Albert) made it enjoyable for me to return to VP after our relegation season. A truly class act and Swansea are lucky to have him.

A rare a great value signing in a period we wasted a lot of money. We would not have returned to the Premier league without him, and we wouldn't have stayed up last season without him. Scored gpals, made goals and was proud to wear the shirt. Good luck to him.

Would have kept hold of him with our congested fixture list. Can anyone definitely confirm he's out of contract in the summer? If so, I guess it means he has played his last game for us.
