Would someone be kind enough to point me in the direction of Villa's 'thank you' and Donor's response please? I can't seem to find them.

It’s in the Kidneys section.

One of several players who played a massive role in turning this club around both on the pitch and off with a renewed sense of professionalism that had been missing at VP for too long. All the very best to him.

I'll always have a soft spot for Conor.  Determined to make it to the top which he did with us, played with that ability to smash the goal out of the ground which he did on more than one occasion, and wasn't it sweet to see him do it a gainer the Albion and the Noses?  I don't think he will ever understand what that goal against the Albion meant to us, for that alone he can consider himself a hero.  Good luck Conor.

This all day long. Struggling to think of a Villa player, past or present, that could hit the ball so sweetly and true as Conor. Certainly not Henri Lansbury who we bought for a similar fee the same time we signed Conor from Barnsley. I'll always fondly look back on his goals, his spirit and his willingness to jump in for a scrap, often to defend a teammate, should it be necessary.

Good luck Conor wherever you find yourself and thanks for helping us get back on track.

Yeh A finely tuned athlete that spends all week in the gym and training would have had no chance against that lumpy cave dweller on a diet of Fags Pies and Carling.

No worse a footballer than Luiz who has clubs wanting to sign him for £30 mil apparently. He'll get a move, hopefully not to WBA. Absolutely key to us getting up. Some amazing goals.

Hourihane has 4 Premier League goals in the last 3 years for us, compared to 5 for Luiz. The main difference being that Hourihane has spent the last two seasons out on loan in the Championship!

Along with Bruce Rioch I can’t think of a better striker of the ball, in a Villa top, than Conor

True but both played out of position without complaint for their best part of their time at Villa. There's more to being a good coach than cheque book management. I hope SG can change the trend.

Yup, I also hope SG builds a squad so we don't have to play players out of position.
