I like Hot Lips, and am grateful for what he's done for us, especially that vital goal against Baggies in the playoffs. I don't really see him offering much besides occasional cup performances though so if someone offers money I suspect he will he off. I don't mind loaning him so long as it isn't for anyone  twatty.

Would be a decent signing for Norwich, perhaps? Not least because it means he won't be scoring against them anymore.

I think if we take both Emi II and Cantwell from them, it may stick in their craw a bit if they get Conor in return.

I think Conor has probably played his last game in Claret and Blue, so I expect we'll be looking tomove him on.

Given his age, I don't think we can expect to get much for him in the transfer market.

Expect his agent will be trying to find the best deal for him.
His contract expires next summer and he'll turn 31 in February
Hevwas signed for £3m and info on t'interwebnet says he's on £30k a week, which will earn him £1.56m gross between now and July 2022

Guess we'd let him go on a free, but there's limited number of clubs who might want him - lower half of Prem especially promotees looking for experience, and promotion prospects with money/ambition.

Would he be tempted to move for a 2 or 3 yr deal for say £20-25k a week as that would guarantee him £2.08m or £3.12m.

An interesting quandary to be in.

Captain Conor Hourihane . Whatever happens I sure he will be a professional about things in his attitude Vs Barrow tonight

He'll be important for set plays and interested to see what they come up with here.

I know it's only Barrow but he's running the show tonight. Two immaculate through balls for goals 1 and 3.

Touch of class giving his shirt to the kid and family in the crowd . Great gesture.
Maybe it was his last game ?
Smith was talking to him leaving pitch and together in good spirits
Pats on backs and acknowledgement. Was class all round.

Something like 4 assists in our last 4 games the year we just about stayed up. Not forgetting his immense contribution to promotion the year before. One of the best signings of the last ten years. Well done Bruce and thanks for everything Connor.

i seem to remember it was more than, that but of course we probably offered him more money than he could shake a stick at salary wide. didn't he arrive with the Big Cheese?

He came in with Lansbury and the Ice Man, for a lot less and has delivered infinitely more.

A proper professional, I hope he finds a team that play properly and he can showcase his ability. Given a bit of time and space, which he can't get at our level, he can be devastating.

I was just behind that kid. His face was a delight - he was so excited - he just couldn’t believe it!

Great wasn't it?  They showed I'm guessing, his Dad taking photographs of him holding it.  The child couldn't believe his luck and his face was a picture.
