When players like Ireland, N'Zogbia, Richards, Lescott & Gabby have darkened our doors over the last few years and others like Sanchez, Veretout, Gueye, Gil & Traore underperformed and couldn't wait to get out and others like Cissoko, Bennett, Elphick, Gollini, Crespo, Sylla, Tonev, Sinclair, Bunn and Bowery have just been utterly, utterly shit, I find it hard to get overly worked up about Westwood, a long serving player who just kept his head down and did what he could in this basket case of a side over the last 5 years.

Same here. He seemed to know that this was a great opportunity for him and he tried his best, one thing I could never quite understand is why he didn't hit the weights to increase his physical presence. Doing that was never going to effect his pace, he didn't have any.

I can't imagine him having an affair. He would just keep inviting the harlot out for a date and not turning up!

The problem was that he kept his head down during matches too.

I'm glad Westwood has gone, the relationship with the fans was toxic and it's best for everyone for him to have left.  However i think some of the comments posted about him has been unfair and the truth is he arrived a better player than he left and the club needs to accept some responsibility for that.

I see nothing in his statement to be upset about.

I don't disagree. I reserve my greatest ire for the lazy and feckless rather than the incapable. It doesn't mean it isn't nice to be rid of someone who so persistently showed they can't do the job.

Now that most of our big deals are just about done, I wouldn't be against using the loan market to get a bit of extra cover.

Elphick gives me the shits, so CB cover and an out and out winger would round the window off nicely.

I'm sure I heard a radio station mention us trying for Brady, but may have misheard.  Anyone else pick this up?

Bradford City are apparently trying to get a loan deal for Kevin Toner done before 11pm.

No problem with that, so long as we have a recall option in case of injuries.
