Managers get it wrong and get it right. Players also go through good and bad spells and sometimes need a move on to get things moving again. What I know is that there are enough examples of us getting rid of 'rubbish' payers who then go on to bigger and better things to stop me spinning the 'Dyche's been sold a pup' line too hastily.

Pheeew Natalie and her white dress.

Delightful choice of outfit for deadline day I thought.

Down to £10m now (for Hogan)!
Reckon promotion add ons etc will take it up to £15 mill.

Maybe so - strange for SSN to change it from £15m to £10m so quickly though. Presumably they use the same criteria, but someone's corrected the original figure

Hopefully good news.  Genuine question, if McCormack was fit and on form who do people think would be the better player?

On SSN now, on his way to Villa Park for a medical

Why VP if we're down at Brentford today? He could stay there and just get changed in the visitors' changing room this evening.

A bit like Berihino to Stoke deal. I think it's something like £9m up front and the rest dependent on him playing for England and Stoke winning a trophy or something.

Would love Scott Hogan, you can see he has real qualities, reminds abit of Aguero.

Steady on!

He was appalling from day one. I remember shaking my head in disbelief in early December in his first season here when the club PR were laughably talking him up for an England selection. He was a League 1 standard player thrown into the PL and boy did it show. How he's continued to hoodwink some fans for all this time remains one of life's great mysteries.
Good riddance to him.
That's unfair. He hoodwinked no one. Successive managers selected him because he always gave it his best shot and they knew he could be trusted. No off field shananigans either. A good professional. Question his ability by all means and i'd agree he is just not up to the standard I want to see at the Villa but it wasn't for a lack of trying. (Westwood that is in case anyone's confused)

Init! She went side on and the camera caught her curvy silhouette perfectly.

Bruce said we were really close with the mystery player. Doesn't ring true if we have only just agreed the fee and Hogan is only now travelling for a medical. I wonder if it's much more advanced than that.
