Ross is done with us. Fair play to Bruce. RMC has firmly taken the piss, all while being 1 stone heavier than where he should be at.

This 'Westy' love-gush is reminiscent of "Good luck, Randy, it just didn't work out. P.S. I loved you once, and we'll always have the mosaic and free coaches to Chelsea..."

I wouldn't really agree there Jimbo because RL virtually brought the club to its knees and ultimately can't blame anyone but himself. I definately have malice towards him. Westwood can't help it if he's continually picked and has limited ability, although I must admit some of his recent performances in terms of his involvement in the game suggests he's been hiding and has tainted my view a bit. Still, hardly RL levels of damage though.

He was appalling from day one. I remember shaking my head in disbelief in early December in his first season here when the club PR were laughably talking him up for an England selection. He was a League 1 standard player thrown into the PL and boy did it show. How he's continued to hoodwink some fans for all this time remains one of life's great mysteries.
Good riddance to him.

Yes, brilliant in hindsight as always!
Apparently he has hoodwinked all of our managers also, who have continually played him, as well as Dyche who is prepared to pay £5m for him!

I'd say it was more to do with the club not providing the money for an upgrade more than anything else. Oh and I said he was shit from season one when others were still calling for him for an England call up. Hindsight my arse.

Yeah, because we spent absolutely nothing the summer we sold Benteke and Delph, and we spent absolutely nothing last summer either.

We'll never know for sure why he stayed so long considering how shit he was. It surely couldn't be because of how valuable he was as a player because a blind man could see he was utterly useless. Perhaps we couldn't find anyone so dumb to buy him till now?

I know nothing about Rhodes and Hogan but it seems most people on here would love Hogan and not Rhodes , yet Rhodes has a brilliant scoring ratio probably better than Hogan.

so why Hogan ?    why is he the man of the two?

Rhodes is Bent without pace. Hogan I think gives you a little more involvement with build up. Plus he's been playing games and Rhodes hasn't really kicked a ball for yonks has he?

I'm not the best qualified but I'll have a stab;

Rhodes has had a terrible previous 12 months, having not played at all really since last season.  Hogan has been on fire this season.

Rhodes is a poacher (proven admittedly) Hogan is a natural finisher with a bit more to his game than just being the proverbial "fox in the box"

Yeah I think Hogans success is more recent, so people (including myself) are naturally going to favour him of the two.

Lambert, Sherwood, Garde, Di Matteo were all very decent midfielders, so I think it's perfectly acceptable to trust their ability to judge whether he was in fact a useful midfielder compared to your average fan on a forum, even though their broader managerial abilities were suspect.

Fatty to Forest is being mooted, which is fine but it shouldn't be a loan - it should be a sale or nothing.
We don't really want to be strengthening a competitor with any more of our bloody players.

£15m seems a lot for Hogan who has only really played 66 league games for Rochdale and Brentford combined, at age 24, albeit with a 50%+ scoring record. Hopefully he is a late developer like Ian Wright.

We're you glad your trusted their judgement then?

Using the Ayew/Westwood cash we would be getting Hogan for only £3-5m. Guess thats why we can go to the price needed.
Palace rumoured to be interested still. Would he go there? They only play 1 striker and have Benteke, Remy, Campbell

Would love Scott Hogan, you can see he has real qualities, reminds abit of Aguero.

I very much doubt Forest will have much of a transfer kitty - what with the owner wanting out & the recent take over failure. Maybe Fulham will want the tosser back on loan: with a view to making the move permanent in the Summer?
