Someone on Twatter reckons Bruce could go for Ballon d'Or winner Bendtner if all else fails...

Westwood is/was never good enough but he never hoodwinked anyone.

Might have to touch up my first choice team if today's deals happen. I understand Thor can also play RM as he's right footed, so I'd go...
----------------------Johnstone--------------------
Bree---------Chester----------Baker-------Taylor
Thor---------Lansbury-------Hourahane---Amavi
--------------Hulk------------Kodjia---------------

Subs:
Bunn, Elphick, Bacuna, Jedinak, Grealish,
Adomah, Agbonlahor

We've had plenty of worse players than Westwood. The difference is, most of them play a handful of times before the manager sees them for their uselessness and they get disposed of (not in a Mafia sense).

Westwood is the epitome of mediocrity and yet must have played about five hundred games for us. Truly an indication of our pathetic midfield for the last half a decade.

and why we are half way down in the championship.

Every team we played against for the last few seasons knew we were a soft touch in the middle. Hopefully for the first time in ages we will have addressed that.

SSN getting really cringey already. Becoming shouty and OTT over loans and unheard of players ... "We have reporters all over the country", pointless .... "Lee from Gateshead has tweeted, let the excitement begin!. "Well Lee, I think it's already begun". Bullshit.

He was appalling from day one. I remember shaking my head in disbelief in early December in his first season here when the club PR were laughably talking him up for an England selection. He was a League 1 standard player thrown into the PL and boy did it show. How he's continued to hoodwink some fans for all this time remains one of life's great mysteries.
Good riddance to him.

Yes, brilliant in hindsight as always!
Apparently he has hoodwinked all of our managers also, who have continually played him, as well as Dyche who is prepared to pay £5m for him!

I'd say it was more to do with the club not providing the money for an upgrade more than anything else. Oh and I said he was shit from season one when others were still calling for him for an England call up. Hindsight my arse.

This 'Westy' love-gush is reminiscent of "Good luck, Randy, it just didn't work out. P.S. I loved you once, and we'll always have the mosaic and free coaches to Chelsea..."

Well I think he's cack, but certainly have no malice against the guy. Good luck to him, but if we get £5m for him it's good business for us.

it is the same with Gabby, who has hoodwinked every manager in the last 6 seasons, but for some on here all is forgiven because he has lost a few pounds in weight and ran round for 45 mins in the last home game against Preston.

I hope H&V Towers has the sandbags at the ready because with the game at Brentford and the revolving door at Bodymoor circling non-stop, tonight is going to see a deluge of activity to batter previous records - the day the Djembas (d)joined and the night we bowed-out to mighty Bradford.

We're already showing signs of creakage this AM, please don't make those bright soulless lights at SkySportsNews and their pundits and (w)anchors be our only beacon of news.

Yeah, because we spent absolutely nothing the summer we sold Benteke and Delph, and we spent absolutely nothing last summer either.
