I wish nothing but good luck to Pointy. Worked hard, seems a decent bloke, just a shame that he was an average player at best.

The BM now suggesting that Brentford haven't accepted the Villa bid for Hogan (believed to be ITRO £9M).  :o

With Curtis Davies out injured for several weeks, I think that's the end of any chance that Bruce Jr. is joining

A Loan...He'll be back in B6 for the ice cream season!

No way he'll fit into the solid 442 that Dyche prefers.

I actually think we're in a Brucey game of poker with our potential forward options.

All of them appear to be either on top dollar(Rhodes),very expensive for their present contract(Hogan) and I think there's someone else we've courted, and would prefer but he's top dollar in every manner.Afobe?

I wonder if we'll put down a take it or leave it,maybe splashing big on our Number 1 but with the proviso that we work down our options to Rhodes and Hogan, both of whom, if I was the parent club, would be anxious to move on.

I thought that Hogan bidding started at around £15m

Westwood might do o.k up there, less pressure and all that. Lowton is playing week in week out anyway and looking comfortable for Burnley.

I thought Westwood was o.k for his first couple of seasons and unfairly given stick but he needs a mobile player alongside him to cover his weaknesses.

As soon as D*lph left then that showed up Westwood at prem level and he hasn't looked much better in the championship so time to move on and 5m is a decent profit at least.

On that SSN transfer centre, they're reporting that The Evil are saying the Westwood deal is a loan.  I hope not.

Loan will do us no favours

With close to 150 games for us I for one will miss Westwood (though we are sadly better off without him)

It could be worse. He could stay

Aye, and me. Perhaps with Wet Sham's waning interest, Hogan's price has come down 6 million quid?
