I've not really seen much of Lansbury so dont know if he is worth £40k a week, if indeed anyone can be. Thing is though, if it doesnt work out, and he does seem to be something of a 'maverick' then if he's been vastly overpaid then he'll be far harder to shift on.

He's not even officially signed yet.............

I would imagine £3 million for Lansbury being soon out of contract is good value , look at the dross going for a lot more around the leagues. so I would imagine this has been put in his wages .

I would say he is  £6 million value player looking at the likes of Livermore , Bamford etc

Daily Mail are reporting on their live feed that we've had a bid accepted and he could be here for a medical along with Lansbury tonight.

A midfield of those two plus Jedinak would be quite something for this league.

Just imagine folks, we may have a midfield again. I fondly remember those days of old.

Hopefully Lansbury in, we then need another midfielder and a right back I reckon.

In thee ol' Yorkshire Post, Barnsley boss, Heckingbottom (what an ace Yorkshire name) denies any approach or offer.

bit harsh on Lansbury really - he's got to be more than twice as good as pointy

I'm twice as good as Pointy- but I'll settle for £30K a week

You'd have to stop driving the Danville train, though. No contest.

Also, you shouldn't care if the money's no good.
