i might be wrong but couldnt Lansbury just sign a contract with us now anyway, but to start in June or July ?

That doesnt help us for this season but could be better than losing out altogether.

                                  Johnstone
Bree.              Chester                Baker.              Amavi
                                  Jedinak
                     Lansbury           Hourihane
Adomah                                                             Brady
                                    Kodjia

I like it!! Make it happen Dr Xia.

Like the look of that side at this level.  Bit of flexibility in the midfield as well as Lansbury could play a bit further forward in some games.

Is Brady really better than Grealish?  Or the other 2 for that matter.

We have to be careful that we don't want changes, just for changes sake here.

He's a natural left sided player and would give us a balance that we have been missing.

Whilst I like the look of that team/formation, it does make Grealish and McCormack slightly redundant.  That might be a sacrifice worth making, however the bigger point is we need to finally choose a system so that our recruitment can become more focused.

You could always sacrifice Jedinak when needs be and play Grealish or McCormack in front of the other two.

Yeah RDM did something similar.  It took teams about 3 weeks to work out that they could over run us in midfield.

Its all about balance and Brady is not a left winger/left sided attacker.  Simply being naturally left footed does not automatically qualify him for that role.  The best left sided player that we've had in many a year was Ashley Young who is naturally right footed.

Who's playing Small Heath tomorrow?
Don't know , bet they all know who we are playing to a man.
Nottingham Forest
Thanks but it was question raised after reading the post below from CD.
Hard to know what this means, except that the players won't have any particularly boost ahead of tomorrow's game against Small Heath, unfortunately.

Lansbury doesn't appear to have a full deck having just appointed a current player as his agent!

He might have played a number of positions in his career, but I've definitely seen him play on the left wing.  Not saying it should be him, but I definitely think we need a left winger.

Brady has been mentioned a number of times on here, but is he any good? In my mind he's just a younger McGeady.

There's no chance of Brady or any PL player coming here so save your breath.

Chester, Elphick, Johnstone, De Laet, Jedinak and Adomah have all signed from PL clubs this season, so to say there's no chance clearly isn't true.

Difference being they were sold a promotion push in the summer. Now, that looks highly unlikely.

Do our players know the value of a derby game? Fucking wasters. Several of them need replacing. Get Lansbury and Hourihane in smartish

It'll be too little too late. We are not going to finish in the top six. Our squad do not have the stomach for a fight. I think we're in for a long stay in this division.
