                                  Johnstone
Bree.              Chester                Baker.              Amavi
                                  Jedinak
                     Lansbury           Hourihane
Adomah                                                             Brady
                                    Kodjia

I like it!! Make it happen Dr Xia.

Don't think Brady will come if rumours  of £12m being spouted earlier in this thread are true

If what Bruce says is true and we were after schlupp then he was the same price

The Lansbury saga is becoming a farce! First the takeover was blocking the move - that's collapsed, now the Blackstock glitch! You get the feeling this isn't destined to happen!

With a comment like that, it's bound to happen over the weekend now.

Hard to know what this means, except that the players won't have any particularly boost ahead of tomorrow's game against Small Heath, unfortunately.

It could always be like the Ellis/Lerner sale where it was off one week then back on the next.

Wouldn't a takeover falling through work in our favour, as they won't want to risk him leaving for free in the summer?

If we finally get Lansbury and Hourihane and manage to get Brady all of a sudden we are a genuine goal that through the middle of the park.  Keep in mind we are 6m up so far this Jan. If Westwood and Ayew were to leave then we could possibly end up having not spent much but be significantly stronger.  Still need a pacey forward option too.

We would also have several individual players capable of changing the game with a goal from nowhere, be quick on the break and tough to play against. Ayew and Westwood will certainly not be missed if they were to leave.

Like the look of that side at this level.  Bit of flexibility in the midfield as well as Lansbury could play a bit further forward in some games.

Is Brady really better than Grealish?  Or the other 2 for that matter.

We have to be careful that we don't want changes, just for changes sake here.

He's a natural left sided player and would give us a balance that we have been missing.

Whilst I like the look of that team/formation, it does make Grealish and McCormack slightly redundant.  That might be a sacrifice worth making, however the bigger point is we need to finally choose a system so that our recruitment can become more focused.

He plays predominately as a left back or a left sided midfielder, not as one of the front 3.

I'm yet to be convinced that he'd improve us, especially given the £12 million price tag quoted.

The front 3 in that line up looks less likely to get us goals than the front 3 we are currently lining up with and we could be £12 million worse off for the privilege.

I think that it will be 433 long term.  That renders McCormack redundant apart from cameo performances.  There is still room for Grealish though.

Thus far, Bruce has been playing horses for courses, given the squad inherited.  By the end of the month, we'll be seeing something like what to expect in terms of line ups.

It looks like Lansbury will end up being filed away with Carlton Palmer, Steve Bull, Benni McCarthy and Juninho
