If Delph is available there would be plenty of Premier League clubs interested.

Lights blue touchpaper and stands well back:-

Bloody hell, mentions Tom Cleverley as well!

Slipping Cleverley's name into the story reminds of this...

I'd genuinely rather stay down than go up having re-signed Delph.

That's ridiculous.

Which one? The article or TaxDodger's comment?

I hope Delph returns. It's a mercenary game these days. We need his drive and quality in the midfield.

Delph and Cleverly running in front of Jedinak would make us pretty impressive. Grealish and McCormack would appreciate players like them too, as would Kodjia. It would be sensational. Coming back and getting us up would atone for what went before too, which was never fully explained.  Much as I had a go at the time, Pelligrini did suggest it was Villa that forced the move and not snake man.  Although it's never going to happen.

As said, ridiculous.

Haha, from the hodge-snake to fantasy-hero in peoples minds so quickly!  Who knows if he is even the same player, as he has actually played very much the past 18 months.  Everton or, er, West Ham is my guess.

He could be 62 with a new hip and he'd still be quicker than Gardner.

Haha!  As would Hodge himself.
