I believe Ayew has been trying his best, it's not working out at the moment. It did as recently as a few months ago, so it's hardly the same as Westwood or Agbonlahor who have been useless for half a decade.

There is no evidence whatsoever that Ayew has a bad attitude. If he did, he'd have already forced his way out of the club like Gana, Downing, Delph, etc.

Apart from when he lost the ball three times against wigan in injury time and couldnt be arsed trying to get it back

So what's all this about Brenford's Scott Hogan then?  It's all over Facebook etc.  Any thoughts on him?

Ball greedy, seemed to shoot from anywhere. Scored quite a few this season and being arrogant isn't necessarily a bad thing for a footballer

Ayew's form so far in a lower league is 1 in 10........... garbage! We all know he's better than that but for whatever reason he isn't doing the business.

When shite like Danny Graham have 8 goals you have to start being ruthless. If someone comes in for Ayew in Jan I'd sell. The guy isn't interested in playing for us anymore.

It's not working out because Bruce has only really played him as an out and out winger which means he's far too deep to be dangerous.  It's the same problem when he shunts Kodjia out on the left.  You can't give your most dangerous attacking players defensive responsibilities, have 40-45% possession and expect them to influence the game, they're spending far too much time around their own box to be able to make things happen around the oppositions.  This is why I find myself hoping he buys another battling centre mid and a left winger and just goes 442, I don't like it but I think it's the only chance that we'll see him stop trying to get his strikers to play as wide midfielders.

Why does it matter if anyone sulks? In any case, Murray was being slagged off for being miserable long before he started to pick up major titles.

Murray is a winner who plays for himself and shows passion when he plays. Ayew plays part of a team, Iwould be pi$$ed off with his demeanour....lack of passion etc. He has done f*ck all for us so far.

He was our best player last season and has already contributed, albeit not as much as we would have hoped, this season.

To say he has "done fuck all" is just hyperbolic and moronic revisionism.

All because he is deemed not to be sufficiently smiley!

Wow, you got me.

Don't say that, you'll be labelled moronic.

Bit more for Ayew.  Bit more glitzy.  No more effective than Rudy just more flash.  Given the same amount of game time as Ayew, RHM would have at least six goals and assists by now.

I just don't see it. He is slight and not shit off a shovel fast. I admittedly only saw him once last season - in the Arsenal U21 final (I think) and whilst there is promise not enough yet to suggest he is anywhere near first team action.

Apparently Nixon the journo has tweeted about a big bid from a championship club for Scott Hogan.

From what I've seen of Hogan I think he's a decent striker (but nothing more) and isn't what we need to address the major problems with the team, at some point we need to look at where and when our current strikers get the ball and realise that they're not going to score from those positions.  Work in training to close the gap between midfield and attack and improve the quality of the play into the box with a good signing or 2 and we've got 4 strikers who could get 10 each in the 2nd half of the season (in my opinion).

I wasn't able to attend the Wigan game so can't comment. But if it was injury time, maybe he was knackered?

I still stand by my assertion that saying that Ayew has "done fuck all" throughout his entire Villa career, as you suggested, is ludicrous.

You don't do your argument any favours when you just make stuff up. Mind you, that is a tactic that has been quite succesful this year, maybe you're onto something.

Yeah, because it was actually four times he gave it away.

He looked plenty arsed in the first part of the season and most of last season, when the rest of his teammates couldn't give a tinker's cuss.

You see what you want to see, I guess.
