Maybe sulking isn't a barrier to sporting success.

Isn't sulking once you've had sporting success a different proposition to doing it before you have?

Why does it matter if anyone sulks? In any case, Murray was being slagged off for being miserable long before he started to pick up major titles.

Lewis Hamilton is a sulky punchable git out of the car, but once in it, fantastic.  Its when they sulk in the game they need a slap

Murray is a winner who plays for himself and shows passion when he plays. Ayew plays part of a team, Iwould be pi$$ed off with his demeanour....lack of passion etc. He has done f*ck all for us so far.

He's got a helmet on. How do you know if he's sulking? And in any case you'd slap someone because you don't like the expression on their face?

You sound like a lovely person.

As I recall, all this "sulking" bollocks started when he was deemed not to have celebrated a goal with sufficient exuberance, during one of the worst runs in our history.

An utterly bizarre and pathetic thing to castigate someone for.

He was our best player last season and has already contributed, albeit not as much as we would have hoped, this season.

To say he has "done fuck all" is just hyperbolic and moronic revisionism.

All because he is deemed not to be sufficiently smiley!

Yeah, imagine how less use Carol Smilie would be in his place. We're much better off with moody Jordan.
In fact, it must be difficult for Carol to live-up to her name. Does she ever get down and just frown cos she feels like it?

Smily, sulky or whatever, Ayew hasn't got anywhere near his potential all season.  For that reason, I'd move him on and invest the money in whoever Bruce feels will benefit the team.

The club needs to issue rules to the squad on what is an acceptable demeanour for a player so as not to upset fans. Smile too much, fuck off Bacuna. Don't smile enough, fuck off Ayew.

I'm sure Bruce rolled his eyes at me a few games ago too. This club is still rotten.

What the f are you on about.  I said that Lewis was a sulky git, not looked like one.  The point was he doesn't mope about in the car, he is fantastic.  And the same applies to a player.  I don't care what expression he has on his face, you can barely see this from the stands anyway.  You can however have a pretty good idea if a player is putting everything into the game, or sulking away, Nzogbia would be a good example, the slap I suggested is how I felt when watching him, because you know that he has the ability in there to do something special, he just hid it really really really well.  Westwood gets dogs abuse on these pages and at the games, but is always giving it his best (You can argue whether his best is good enough).  Lots of queries about why he gets picked, by manager after manager to play, I would suggest his attitude has a lot to do with this.

Just curious as to how Ayew has been deemed a waste of space after he was our best player last season and was our best player under De Matteo. He was the only one who looked arsed at all in some games last season. His form has dipped a bit since Bruce came in, and he's looked a bit pissed off sitting on the subs bench, so all of a sudden he's shite and a total bell end.
