I think he died.

Nastylee

I don't think we can afford to be picky about good players who could help us get promoted, just because they aren't alive. That's rather a bigoted attitude.

We shouldn't discriminate on the basis of colour, religion or pulse.

If he's still playing someone like Schwarzer would be ideal on the bench. McGregor has been mooted and that's not that bad a call. Cairney at Fulham would cost us more than he's worth but he'd be perfect. A centre-half is an absolute must for me given baker's injuries and Elphick's inability. There is always the european market that I know nothing of so you can stick one or two in there but how about Dyer at wherever he is now for the rest of the season, and a slightly left field one - demarai Gray?

I agree about tom cairney - he'd be great as part of our central midfield.

A Twitter source seems to think Jordan Rhodes is pretty much nailed on for January.

So we want to replace Gollini because he's too experienced for the league and replace him with a player who has never turned out for the first team? Can someone explain that logic please?
Doesn't make any sense.

I can't understand that logic either.  If we are going to replace Gollini because he is inexperienced, then surely we would be looking for a keeper with more experience and not less?

For the record, I meant inexperienced in my original message.  :)

Rhodes will be a third of the cost of Hernandez if the summer is 'owt to go by.

I assume if we sign that keeper from Manure on loan it's as a backup as it seems a bit barmy to replace a keeper because he's inexperienced with a keeper that has played 4 first team games on loan at Preston in the last 18 months.

But isn't he a number 10 type of player, similar to McCormack?

As I see it, we need an out and out number 9 who plays up top on his own.  Whilst all 3 of Gabby, Kodjia and Rudy can play there, we need a natural number 9, dare I say it, a combination of all 3.

We play differently to Newcastle, who can afford a player like Gayle up front because of the way they attack.  We need a more orthodox centre forward

If we get any more forwards and don't sort the midfield out I will be a seething angry mess.
